So, I’m reading another article of blistering stupidity from the lunatics. This one is special because it’s documenting a tag team of lunatics. We have the U.S. National Academy of Science and the Royal Society teaming up to give us a special report!!! It’s like the Special Olympics of climate science. One one hand, we have Ben “who doesn’t understand volcanoes” Santer, and on the other we have Paul “doesn’t know how much CO2 humans emit” Nurse. Yes, they’re both also notable for other egregious mistakes regarding climate science, but, who’s counting? (anymore, I’ve lost count)
So, in this preview of this Special Olympics for climate science, we go to the source of news for the mentally incapacitated, the Huffington Post ………
U.S. And UK Science Academies Explain Climate Change Reality In New Joint Report
Now, the article contains the typical inane babbling of the lunatics, but, one, I’m particularly tired of seeing because of the stupidity of it all. Here are the money quotes ……..
The report, released on Thursday, addresses new issues such as the recent slowing in the increase of world temperatures and how heat-trapping gases are connected to extreme weather. Increases in extreme weather, melting glaciers, rising seas and oceans getting more acidic are already happening, the 36-page report said. …….
The report also says that more the 90 percent of the heat trapped by greenhouse gases lately has been absorbed into the oceans’ deep water, which for a while slows surface warming but not the long-term trend.
Again, it’s picture time, because the lunatics seem unable to grasp the concept of barriers.
Is this really too complicated for the imbeciles to understand?
And, for the advanced lunatics who would not believe that there’s a barrier to the imaginary heat build up in the deep blue sea, here’s a graph of NOAA data (yes, most of it is imaginary, as well) of the Ocean Heat Content (in temperature) of the first 100 meters of the oceans.
Yes, the heat just flies by the first 100 meters and rests at the bottom of the sea, lurking, waiting, ………
heat cannot go deep in the ocean, for the simple reason that: colder water is heavier!
That’s too hard for them to understand.
assume for one minute that the deep ocean is warming up…..
The cold, density, and pressure would be the perfect heat sink….and it’s capacity for holding heat would be astronomical.
Say it’s around 35F…..it would have to warm up to surface temp first…..that’s a capacity to hold ~35F degrees of heat…which is more than it’s possible for anything on the surface to produce
So you could say it’s capacity to hold and store heat is limitless………….
Yes, as far as we’re concerned. But, again, that’s too hard for them to understand, apparently.
I think my picture, however, should be used in comment sections around the world and blogosphere!!!
it’s telekinetic you know….
I really think there’s only 2 of them, but they post a lot
..I’m waiting until it comes up again on WUWT or Steve’s…then I’m posting your graph all over them
I think, sometimes, simplicity is most effective. 😉
LOL!!!!
Fine post, James, especially the first para!
NAS is the organisation which brought us the infamous ‘black list’ of sceptics, and RS is the organisation which exonerated UEA in the Climategate email scandals by finding the climate literature supported them…after they secretly asked UEA to give them the scientific papers they used to exonerate UEA.
Both organisations have been almost completely colonised by ideological lefties. The world would be improved if they were abolished.
I’ll bet when you find a week-old, fly-blown rat corpse on your lawn, you just throw the whole thing in the incinerator without bothering to sort out the bits worth saving, too.
Thanks Bruce!!! I do try! :). And, yes, both organizations are beyond redemption.
It also has to defy physics to get there in the first place.
I don’t expect alarmists to be able to grasp too many concepts at once….. I’m taking it slow for them.
Perhaps you need an updated version of Garret Morris?
“It also has to defy physics to get there in the first place.”
They know defying physics from the superhero movies. So that makes it only more believable.
Look! Up down in the sea! It is a fish! It is a submarine! No, it is Super Global Warming!
Reblogged this on Climate Ponderings.
This is a completely new brand of science of which the world was previously unaware.
