Oh, FFS!!!!!  The lunatics are so tiresome!

So, there’s a recent hubbub on a statement AG Jeff Sessions recently made ……

Sessions invokes ‘Anglo-American heritage’ of sheriff’s office

Vid at the CNN article …..  Or, alternatively, the Newsweek garbage headline …

Of course, by now, these stories will be updated because someone decided to use “Google”.  Here’s what Sessions stated when talking to a group of sheriffs ……

Since our founding, the independently elected sheriff has been the people’s protector, who keeps law enforcement close to and accountable to people through the elected process,” he said at the organization’s winter conference. “The office of sheriff is a critical part of the Anglo-American heritage of law enforcement. We must never erode this historic office.”

Immediately, this is understood as a racist statement by ……. well, morons.

I really can’t understand the blatant demonstration of one’s ignorance and stupidity.  “Anglo-American law” is a term used by lawyers and historians.  It aptly describes the origins and foundations of US law.  Indeed, from the already updated CNN article ….. “The word “sheriff” combines the Anglo-Saxon words “shire,” meaning “county,” and “reeve,” meaning “guardian,” ………  Sheriffs, which are employed all over this great nation, were the advent of, well, the English.

Oh, you know who else used the term on multiple occassians?

BHO ……..

Good heavens, people!!!!  Get a grip!!!!

I’m wondering if we’re going to find out if Cruz was on some anti depressant

    • Latitude says:

… all the people screaming about gun control…who’s going to enforce these new rules?

The same organization that screwed this one up!

      • Jim Masterson says:

The solution is simple, but will never be allowed–get rid of “gun-free zones.” At a minimum, teachers and administrators should be allowed concealed carry. The gun-control crowd know full well that criminals think twice before committing crimes where there’s concealed carry. The stats show that when concealed carry laws are passed, there’s a reduction in violent crimes, murders, rapes, robberies, and aggravated assaults (but not so much for property crimes).

The goal by the gun-control crowd is to remove guns from all law-abiding citizens (they don’t seem to care if criminals have guns). Somehow they managed to make schools gun-free. So our kids are exposed to any nut with a gun, and law enforcement is 20 to 30 minutes away. A lot can happen in 20 minutes.

This playing with our kids lives for a political objective is insidious, to say the least.

And even layer it with trained, specific armed security. That the Libs themselves aren’t screaming for this, just shows it’s all really about their ‘no-gun’ fantasies.

        • Latitude says:

you know….I’m inclined to agree 100% with this….being a sitting target certainly isn’t working

  3. Latitude says:

Is it just me…or is WUWT really getting that lame?
There’s no science anymore…’s just “guest essay” “guest opinion”

is it me? or just burnout?

    • Jim Masterson says:

The “Ideal Gas” post by Willis was actually getting to some science (with 1078 comments) and Willis/Anthony shut it down. The two posts on either side are still open the last time I looked. Strange–isn’t it?

I agree–it’s a lot of opinion now. I should probably offer to post a piece on Thermodynamics, but I’m not a very good writer and no one would understand it anyway.

      • cdquarles says:

Go for it Jim. I’d like to read it.

      • Latitude says:

But Jim!…..that’s exactly the kind of science article I’m talking about! that makes you think…and have to use google or bing to look it up and understand it
…..that’s what makes you learn things

If you have the time…..go for it

      • Jim Masterson says:

Thanks guys for the encouragement. I really don’t think I have the time or the skill. Thermodynamics is not a small subject. I was in the Roman Forum a few months ago and one of the problems archeologists had there was to know when to stop digging. Thermodynamics is like that–I won’t know when to stop writing. In any case, it’ll probably be a long and boring essay.

      • Latitude says:

I understand exactly what you are saying…..I too immersed in my field too….I could never write about it…I have everything in small little compartments in my head

  4. Jim Masterson says:

Helen Jackson, the widow of Henry M. Jackson, died here in Everett, Washington last Saturday. Her husband, Senator “Scoop” Jackson, was probably the last true Democrat patriot.

Now the California Democrat Party won’t endorse Dianne Feinstein because she isn’t “left” enough? The Democrats are really going off the “leftard” deep end.

    • leftinflagstaff says:

We killed over 250,000 Southerners for less than California is doing. Fortunately, we can do it today at much less human cost to the rest of the Union, than back then.

  5. Jim Masterson says:

Well our governor from the People’s Republic of Washington State , Jay “global warming” Inslee, decided to take on the President about forcing ALL teachers to carry concealed weapons. No Governor, only a few need carry, and it is entirely voluntary. It’s typical “leftard” hysteria.
