I’ve plenty to say about this event. But, not today. Perhaps, after the people have buried their loved ones. I can only express my heartache, and poorly so.
I’ll never understand madness such as this. I don’t think anyone ever truly can. We lost brothers and sisters in Christ. Racial animus is heightened. And, the sanctuary of a church was most violently violated.
One day, we’ll have a world which is full of people identifying as people, rather than identifying people as a race or identifying themselves as part of a race or ethnic group. We may have to get to the other side before we get there, but, we will get there.

No; recessive genes. You can have all identically tanned half bloods and the next generation will have all kinds of shades again. Brazilians, where mixing is common, have a saying, the worst enemy of a negro is his white grandchild.
But less and less common. Visual differences as the exception, not the rule. Sure, you’ll still get an albino alligator now and then.

I am sad that my brothers and sisters in Christ were exercising the commandment “love your neighbour” only to have their neighbor shoot them dead. But as Jesus said:
I do hope that Mr Roof, if he is the guy who did it, as seems to be the case, repents of his sins in the time before they chair him. I hope in Christ likewise that I will meet these my brothers and sisters in heaven, when the time comes. It would be a privilege to meet the people who prayed for an hour with the person who murdered them. That is as Christ-like as you can be on this Earth, in my opinion.
Roof had been arrested for some drug charges. So, damn potheads. Let’s ban pot.
