Hank Johnson Is At It Again!

Many people would recall one of the Dems finest examples of proper representation, Hank Johnson.  I can think of no better person to properly represent the majority of Dims.  He was the one concerned Guam would become overpopulated and capsize.

Well, he’s back at it.

From CNS news……..

Hank wants to amend the constitution to restrict the free speech of corporations, in order to thwart their mind control ways.

“We need a constitutional amendment to allow the legislature to control the so-called free speech rights of corporations,” said Johnson.

“They control the patterns of thinking,” said Johnson. “They control the media. They control the messages that you get. So, you are being taught to hate your government–don’t want government, but keep your hands off of my Medicare by the way. I mean, we are all confused people and we’re poking fingers at each other saying, well you’re black, you’re Hispanic, immigration, homosexuals. You know, we’re lost on the social issues, abortion, contraception.

“And these folks,” Johnson said, “are setting up a scenario where they’re privatizing every aspect of our lives as we know it. So, wake up! Wake up! Let’s look at what’s happening. We need a constitutional amendment to allow the legislature to control the so-called free speech rights of corporations.”

Well, it is true that most media outlets are own by corporations.  But, I find it difficult to believe the NY Times, WaPo, CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, the L.A.Times and the like teach people to hate the government.  I rarely watch the TV networks, but I can unequivocally state, the print and online corporate media doesn’t not teach people to hate the government.  It is overwhelmingly in the opposite direction.  As to the “patterns of thinking” that’s probably only on tilting islands.

    Control the control through control!

Unless it’s the message ol Hank would like you to get. Through his control.

The essential difference is Mr Johnson does things loudly and Mr Obama does things quietly.

    • suyts says:

Yeh, maybe not so quietly. Mz Rice recently had several meetings with many senators in order to clarify her public remarks. Without exception, they all came away with more concern than they started with. In Barry’s world, lying to the public is mandated.

      • Bruce says:

You need to read the link. Its scary.

      • suyts says:

I did. It is scary. But, it’s little different than what we knew he was about, already. To cope, I drink, count my bullets, and pray. Half the people in this country re-elected that person. Based on what? Reality says fewer are better off then when he became president. The re-elected him because they believe this is the way a nation should be run. To hell with the people, it was for the love of government.

      • Bruce says:

You forgot coping mechanism #4…watch football. Packers-Giants!

        • suyts says:

Lol, well, yes, but hopefully there will be better games. Pittsburgh at Baltimore this week! I’m very curious as to how the Steelers will react.

      • Bruce says:

Oops, looks like our local TV station is repeating a game, or they’ve stuffed up the electronic schedule again. Which they do regularly. Falcons-Saints look good too, maybe we’ll get it.

        • suyts says:

Yep, that should be a good game as well. This time of year is “show and tell” time. Pretenders and contenders get separated. For both the Saints and Steelers, it is that time.

      • Bruce says:

Is it Steelers-Ravens on Thursday Night Football? Aaack, I can’t even do a Google search right. Oh well, I’d be happy with any of these. The schedule says coverage of whichever game it is starts in 20 min. Lucky grab bag.

Oh and if you like cricket, the South Africa-Oz test match starts today. Ponting’s last game, end of an era. But if you thought an NFL game requires staying power to watch, you should try a 5 day test match.

Eventually, they will get it. It is not enough that they own the media. They want to make sure it is only sycophantic.

    The First Amendment Freedoms

The First Amendment says that people have the right to speak freely without government interference.

The First Amendment gives the press the right to publish news, information and opinions without government interference. This also means people have the right to publish their own newspapers, newsletters, magazines, etc.

The First Amendment prohibits government from establishing a religion and protects each person’s right to practice (or not practice) any faith without government interference.

The First Amendment says that people have the right to appeal to government in favor of or against policies that affect them or that they feel strongly about. This freedom includes the right to gather signatures in support of a cause and to lobby legislative bodies for or against legislation.

The First Amendment says that people have the right to gather in public to march, protest, demonstrate, carry signs and otherwise express their views in a nonviolent way. It also means people can join and associate with groups and organizations without interference.

SORRY, Mr Johnson…These are Not subject to renegotiation!

It is the CONTRACT that every American has a vested interest in.
It is the base contract between the people and our country.

Too many people have paid for that contract…in blood.

Break that base contract and you can throw out the Constitution and all other Bill of Rights.
