Lol, well, there are adjustments, and then there are adjustments.
The NTZ has an article out demonstrating scientists back in 1990 had the average global temp at about 15.5° C. The only problem with that is scientists today say the average global temps is about 14.5° C.

1991: Here is a German government chart, based on Schönwiese. Global temperature in 1991: 15.5°C
1988: Der Spiegel reported a global mean temperature of 15.5°C:
1992: Christian-Dietrich Schönwiese in his book Klima Im Wandel on pages 72 and 73: Global temperature computed from satellite measurements was 15.5°C.
Rainer Hoffmann presents other sources from the early 1990s confirming the 15.5°C mean global temperature 20 years ago. Back then 15.5°C appeared to be the consensus among the scientific community.
The IPCC’s 4th Assessment report of 2007 also used the 14.5° figure for the mean global temperature.

Now, we know some alarmist will jump up and say this is why we use anomalies as opposed to actual temps, but, this does also allow for more…… creativity. In order for us to show continual warming, the past must be cooled.

Not a peep from German warmists or the media.
Rainer Hoffmann also put up a nice video with snippets from German warmist media scientists like Mohib Latif and Schellnhuber where, over the years, they explicitly say things like “The temperature of the Earth is now 15.5 deg C so it must not rise 2 deg above that…”
Som they stated repeatedly to the public that they know this exact temperature, and that they know exactly where Life As We Know It would end. (The mythical “2 deg C warming limit” – which is of course a totally idiotic statement but nevertheless has been peddled to the public incessantly for 10 years or so now.)
The fact that the public is going along with it (95% of people actually do) shows that the Germans are best described as comatose.
That’s a shame. I was actually hoping for a reaction.
I better stay out of the artic! I could not take the temperature increase from 20 degrees to -20 degrees!
