An Honest Question —– Why Is This Meme Attached To White Nationalists? And, More ……

image

So, what is it about this meme/pic that sends leftards into such a tizzy?  And, what White Nationalists use this …. and for what purposes?  Which nationalists?  Brits?  Americans?  French?  Do they all use it?  And, again, for what purposes?  Or, is it something akin to the “Fake News” meme where conservatives flipped the meme to expose the leftist media for intentionally misleading the public?

What does Pepe the Frog supposedly represent to the supposed “White Nationalists”.

I emboldened “supposed White Nationalists”, because, well, this ……

image

I’ve read about “White Nationalists” ….. the connotation being that they’re akin to neo-Nazis or some such, but, it’s weird.  I live in the plains of the US.  I live in a small town in a rural area which is predominantly (overwhelmingly so) Caucasian.  I am both a moral and fiscal conservative.  While I can say for myself and many, many of the people around here, we are nationalists, insofar as we believe this nation and the people of this nation should come first and foremost in any political question.  We love our country and believe it takes precedence over any other nation.  We are also mostly White.

However, as to the “White Nationalists” which seemingly align somewhere around the KKK and the neo-Nazis, I’ve never met one.  I’ve never heard of anyone around these parts knowing any.  Come to think of it, during my times as a traveler, I can’t say I’ve ever met one.  I did once, about 30 years ago, or so, see what looked like a cross on fire in a field about 1/2 mile off the road, one night.

So, given the horribly bigoted ramblings of the ThinkProgress Sr. Editor, I’m starting to wonder if the “White Nationalists” who love the Pepe the Frog meme exist mostly in the minds of the leftarded lunatics such as our friend Ned, who wrote the idiocy above.

Don’t get me wrong.  I know there are some real racist scumbags out there.  But, I don’t believe they are in near as great numbers as the left believes.  Indeed, the only active chapter of the KKK which I am aware of is the small group of lunatics operating in Cali.

This idiot, Ned, seems to believe if you have any connection with the South, you have a high chance of being a really bad guy who wants to do mean things to a Jewish guy …… or something.  But, these are the same people who believe Breitbart is a Jew hating website.  I’ve never read a more pro-Israel news site than Breitbart.  So, the question remains, do these people exist mostly in the minds of the leftards?

Ok I’ll try this one….yes, it’s all in their heads

Do you remember way back when Obama first ran for president….he hired a group of people, COBS
    ….consortium of behavioral scientists
Their job was to help him write, say, and do things to modify people’s behavior..initially to make him win the election

…well, he never fired them…they are still molding liberals heads

Behavioral modification has been adopted by the left big time…mostly because they fall for it easily
…because it’s what they want to believe

..and I have absolutely no idea where the green frog came from or what it’s supposed to mean
I’ve seen it a couple of times…I think Dirk posted something one time with it in it

  2. Pepe!! Whatever his original usage, I know I (and I believe many others) adopted it the same way as ‘deplorables’. To mock and troll the Libs belief that we all are ‘white nationalists.’

‘So, the question remains, do these people exist mostly in the minds of the leftards?’

Of course. What else have they got to fill their minds with? Certainly not sound ideas.
It all comes down to the desperate need to demonize anyone who doesn’t believe in their ideology, and to their desire to attack Americanism, without having to actually declare America as their target.

Somewhere down the line, the simple desire to protect the lives and livelihoods of yourself and those you care about, became Fascism.

Hmm, I’d have to go digging. With respect to the KKK, well, they used to be larger and more brazen than they are now. At the University, they used to hand out literature. [Me, I am an American mutt, but I was born in and remember the last days of Jim Crow. My mutt grandfather who raised me after my dad died used to say: “White’s alright, yellow’s a good fellow, brown stick around, black get back” and yes there were a number of lynchings during his lifetime (born 1890s).] There was a thing called the one-drop rule and race was matrilineal (momma’s baby; daddy’s maybe) if there was any question that wasn’t visibly resolvable. I suspect that the KKK wasn’t ever a big thing in Kansas. Missouri, yeah and certainly so in the Old Confederacy (there were two Klans, too) and we’re talking post Andrew Jackson’s Democrat party, where the notion of a natural white slave-holding aristocracy grew over the years during and post the Trail of Tears.

What I do recall of Pepe is his meme being tied to Kek (Egyptian mythology? If so, what’s the KKK got to do with it?).

    • DirkH says:

The Pepe-Kek link was discovered by the 4chan pranksters. And, Someone decorated a Pepe with a KKK hood. Enough for the Defamation League to go all nuts.

Here is the wiki article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepe_the_Frog. It mentions the ‘alt-right’ and given the leftist bias in most of these things, I think that you are correct that this is only in the fevered minds of leftists.

  5. DirkH says:

Well you don’t even begin to understand how deep this actually goes. You see Pepe is Kek, the Egyptian God of Chaos. Now WHAT could be ANTISEMITIC about an ANCIENT EGYPTIAN God?

  6. Scott says:

“So, the question remains, do these people exist mostly in the minds of the leftards?”

    Yes.

  7. philjourdan says:

The meme was created as a hoax. Even when the creators came forward and admitted it, the meme has not gone away. Why? Because the left can never admit they were fooled or wrong. Just like Meryl streep and the supposed mocking trump did of the reporter. When it was proven he did no such thing, they still repeat it. The left never admits they are wrong.

I have known one former KKKer (and she had just left the Klan, she had not repudiated her views). I live in a large city in the south. And I have met one. In my entire life. It is the left’s version of the “red scare”. They find them wherever they look because they want to. But they are only figments of their imagination.

The weak willed will always believe it because they are told to believe it. But like AGW, they cannot produce any proof of it. And the evidence is innocent occurrences that in their conspiratorial mind, add up to proof. They do not see their own racism. But they see racism where it does not exist.
