I Think Trump Just Won The Presidency …….

image

This meeting just destroyed 90% of the talking points against Donald Trump.

You can read the details about the meeting just about anywhere.  While nothing great was stated, Trump looked presidential.  He didn’t look unstable.  The general characterizations of the meeting between the president of Mexico and Donald Trump were positive by both.

If….. and this is a big if, but, if Trump can manage to keep said appearance of being presidential, then, he just won.

The talking points by the Dims are that Trump is unstable and incapable of dealing with other national leaders and can’t act diplomatically.  He just nailed that characterization to the wall.  Indeed, there will be nothing but “but, but, but …..” from the left over this meeting.  It’s hilarious!  Already, look at the leftist media!  They’re focused on the fact that they didn’t discuss who would pay for the wall!!!!!  I just checked ABC, NBC, CBS, all make it a point/headline that it wasn’t discussed!

Pro tip …….. when Trump says he’s going to make Mexico pay for the wall, he didn’t say Mexico would cut the US a check for it.  They’ll pay for it by the reduction in capital outflow from the US to Mexico.  In this manner they won’t just pay for the wall, they’ll also help pay down the debt of several US states.

Ear perk!!!………  all of the above LSM lunatics and the Mexican president made mention of a long past debunked lie …… that is to say the mention of weapons flowing from the US to Mexico.  The overwhelming amount of arms coming to Mexico (to the drug cartels) is from Asia.  Watch this idiocy become a babbling point of the left ….again.

I don’t get it….this is a man who is world famous for sealing the deal
…and people are shocked when he does it

Mexico has no room to talk….they are trying to close their southern border too

Trump has been telling the truth since day one… listen to what he said, and Neito nodded and agreed with him….sovereignty, keeping jobs in our hemisphere, etc

..of course it benefits both countries

  2. rg says:

listened to the speech on xm/potus — have had major reservations on trump – this was a big tilt back
Clinton screwed up blowing this invitation off doesn’t help. maybe he has a chance…

    • suyts says:

“Clinton screwed up blowing this invitation off doesn’t help.”
100% I imagine that they’re scrambling, right now, to try and mitigate the damage. But, the problem is that Hillary can’t do what Trump just did ….. off the cuff and respond effectively. She needs planning and scripts. Combine this with Trumps visit to La …… He now has total command of the optics over Hillary.

      • Latitude says:

        This is hysterical…
This morning the news is all reporting that Mexicans are angry about Trumps visit…..

…so they are saying his visit was effective, he showed strength…and it’s a plus LOL

  3. philjourdan says:

I am not as positive as you on the outcome of this meeting, but it was a masterful stroke by both people. Mexico just got a huge ally should Trump win (Trump does not forget friends), and Trump got the optics as you indicated. .

I do disagree with you about the left hitting the guns issue. They may try. But Trump will throw fast and furious right back at them! Remember, that happened on Hillary’s watch. That is why they have not done that yet. While the majority of guns may come from outside the continent, pushing a few hundred/thousand across the border has not endeared the Mexicans to the Obama Administration.

  4. Latitude says:

And something from the land of the clueless…
…they have no idea what they are saying

“Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine claimed Thursday that Hillary Clinton takes questions from reporters “every day” and said he doesn’t see a big difference between holding a press conference and talking to the media on the campaign trail.”

…so, why are you in hiding?….. have a press conference then

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/sep/1/tim-kaine-hillary-clinton-takes-questions-reporter/

    • philjourdan says:

TIm Kaine would be the slimiest senator if not for one thing. He is too stupid to compete with the big wigs there. He is totally unethical, immoral and corrupt. His only saving grace is he is too stupid to actually do anything.

But that is the reason Hillary picked him. She needed her own version of Joe Biden.

  5. I just saw this on Huff-and-Puff: “On Twitter, Peña Nieto accused Trump of lying — despite the fact he did not challenge Trump’s version of events during the press conference.”

Do you think they are trying to set Trump up?

    Jim

    • leftinflagstaff says:

I think they may not know what to think. The only world they’ve ever known, may be coming to an end.

    • Latitude says:

nope…it’s just politics…….Nieto needs all the votes, including the don’t pay no wall votes

He’s listening to a minority…just like we do

      • leftinflagstaff says:

But their politicians, especially, know how much, and for how long, their economy has been at least partially reliant on their ability to abuse ours.

        • Latitude says:

exactly…..he’s just trying to keep his people happy….voters

We tend to lose sight of the big picture….it’s all about money….he can’t possibly agree with Trump “dear Mexican voters, vote for me and I will see to it you are cut off..and I’ll spend billions of your tax dollars putting up a wall to do it”

…Of course he’s for open borders

        • leftinflagstaff says:

          Yes.

That’s what I meant by ‘world coming to an end.’

        • leftinflagstaff says:

Their new reality may be living, & and governing a people, as they’ve never had to before.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

          Finally.

        • Latitude says:

They have been sponging off of us for way too long….and we have been propping up their sorry politicians for way too long
And as far as these American companies that bailed and set up factories there…let them deal with it too
Sorry state of affairs is….if we had not been propping them up….it would have been too dangerous for American companies to go there in the first place
I’m all for slamming the door shut…and let them deal with it

        • leftinflagstaff says:

Yep. As I touched on earlier, nothing good came out of illegal immigration. Artificially manipulating to delay a result. Certainly hurt us. Kept them from either improving to where they didn’t need to come, or being destroyed so another culture could take over. Probably ours.

The day may finally be here where the true result is determined.

    • suyts says:

Agree with Lat. Nieto is in trouble with his own people, so he has to say something.

      • Latitude says:

Here’s the problem with these so called American companies in Mexico…
They are not American companies (neither is the stock market)…They are now Mexican companies…
Just like Coca Cola, GE, Hitachi, Campbell….even American Express
They run them like separate companies, because they are

I’m all for cutting them loose…and believe it or not..they will all survive just fine

I don’t think Apple and the likes will ever repatriate large amounts of their overseas fortunes. It would be like going into a trap. All these corps have no allegiance to any nation and will try to stay independent.

The first founder of a multinational corps in Germany – he juggled his clothes mass-production business in the 1950ies between Austria and Germany – was chased by the authorities for tax evasion. When you run a multinational corps you know how easy it is for any one nation to go after you – reason enough to buy some politicians just as an insurance. They’re cheap enough.

      • Sure he does. And may soon actually have to do something, at which they have zero experience.

        • Keeping a wounded society from bleeding to death without being able to steal anymore bandages from its neighbor.

        • Latitude says:

          ….I like that one! 😀

        • leftinflagstaff says:

          🙂

        • suyts says:

One of the reasons the drug cartels openly exist is because they are the pipeline. They are a vehicle of wealth extraction from the US to Mexico. Mexico won’t eliminate them until we eliminate the pipeline.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

Yes, along with the pipeline of funds from illegals. I think we’re really saying the same thing. The point is, I see no reason to believe they can hold that nation together with a closed pipeline. I think their pols see no reason to believe it either. Uncharted territory for them.

        • Latitude says:

I don’t think people realize how big the drug business really is….

Think about how many people are using cocaine right now….all over the country….big city…small town..rural

It’s not coming in taped to some abuela’s thigh…
….it’s running up and down I-10 in tractor trailer rigs

Our governement has to be in on it

        • cdquarles says:

That pipeline won’t close until we and they legalize them. Drugs never should have been made illegal (sales, use, possession or manufacture) in the first place. That’s why the Progressives did it. Once legal, set mutually acceptable import/export quotas.

        • cdquarles says:

Lat, our government created it by prohibition. Think about what will happen when you make commerce a crime.

        • Latitude says:

but cd….does the government then decide who the addicts are?

        • DirkH says:

The USSR did not outlaw companies – only profits. So the non-state companies whithered.
To this day Russia has legions of Garashniki (garage shops) that operate illegally. The state doesn’t crack down because of voter backlalsh and because it is what keeps rural areas going.
BTW rural areas. In Norway the state pays you if you relocate to the North. Otherwise those areas would be wilderness now.

        • philjourdan says:

They still are wilderness! Besides Alaska does that as well. 😉

        • cdquarles says:

Lat, in a way the government does say who the addicts are. They do this partly by manipulating the medical coding and partly via the courts.

        • If it’s time to legalize it (which it probably is), then do it right, like all our industry needs to be: Americans farm it, distribute it, sell it. Government takes it’s cut in taxes and rehab programs.

  6. Obama is visiting Midway pushing his climate agenda. It’s too bad they can’t leave him there.

    Jim

  7. leftinflagstaff says:

Maybe we’re finally taking steps to make it our former government.

    • Latitude says:

      From your lips….
All of a sudden, every news media in this country is very very concerned what the president of Mexico thinks…

…like anyone gives a flying rats rear

  8. The difference between Martha Stewart and Hillary Clinton is that Stewart was caught lying to authorities and Hillary can’t remember anything. That’s how you keep out of prison.

    Jim

    • Latitude says:

      Unbelievable isn’t it?…….

Vote for Hillary…she’s better than Trump and can’t remember shit

    • philjourdan says:

That’s what my wife said – and she is in the legal profession. The best answer is “I do not recall”. Hillary is a lousy lawyer (better than Bill, but still lousy), but she knows that much.

  9. Latitude says:

James, I hear the earth moved this morning!

    • suyts says:

I’m told the same thing, but, I didn’t feel anything.

      • Latitude says:

So the news was over hyping again….well anywho, that’s good news!

      • suyts says:

Well ….. apparently many people I know did feel it …. I didn’t. But, I sleep like a dead person. My cousin and son-in-law talked about how long it lasted …. But, it’s still over-hyped. My cousin lived in Cali for a long time made the distinction. In Cali, the earthquakes make roads wave like ocean waves. Here, apparently, it just kinda shook things. My cousin said, “in Cali, a building can fall on you. But, what’s the worst that can happen here? A tree fall down?” …… I think the tallest building we have in the county is 5 stories tall.

        • Latitude says:

          LOL….yes!
Sorta got the same thing going on here….Cat 1’s and low Cat 2’s….we don’t even bother putting up sutters…and unless your house has a reason, trees or something…even Cat 3’s

We were laughing at the news….terrifying life threatening winds….we have squall lines with stronger winds than that

        • cdquarles says:

Heh, EF0 winds to EF1 tops. I’ve seen what an EF5 tornado and what a Cat 5 hurricane can do. Heck, when Hugo tore up Charlotte, NC, I don’t think it was cat 5. The person from whom I bought my house in 1989 was in Charleston, SC when Hugo hit. Ivan still had cat 1 gusts when it came by Tuscaloosa, and it did less damage than the EF3/4 that tore up a path along and north of 15th St. in Tuscaloosa.

  10. Me says:

    😆 CNN is funny sometimes!

  11. Latitude says:

    I think the G20 is hysterical……

No one is even pretending to like Obama anymore….

…and now he’s on his way to the Philippines, and Duterte did a preemptive strike….called Obama the son of a whore

Hillary, of course, will continue his policies

  12. Latitude says:

“Trump is a racist…and Clinton is a liar”

    ….how would you know?

I find a significant negative relationship between Medicaid expansion and labor force participation, in which expanding Medicaid is associated with 1.5 to 3 percentage point drop in labor force participation.
