Christians are taught to hate the sin, not the person. Being more secular, I tend to think of hating the illness, not person. Either way, of course no one should be attacked and killed for it.
I just believe that it’s difficult to respect anyone who embraces any illness.
And as I’ve said before, these breakdowns that begin in the mind pose greater obstacles. They make an ally of emotion. Homosexuality, gender dysphoria, anorexia, etc, are of course a more difficult fight.
