Illegals, Donald Trump, Roy Clark, Slow Learners, — And I Never Picked Cotton!!!!!

So, the Donald is the Republican nominee.  He presumably stands in opposition to Hillary Clinton.  —- Or, Bernie, it matters, not.  I would always stand in opposition to Hillary and/or Bernie Sanders.  One is a clueless buffoon full of vile thoughts, and the other is less clueless full of vile thoughts.

But, I also stand in opposition to Donald Trump.  While I fully believe either Hillary or Bernie would be horrid for the American people, I don’t know that Donald would be any less horrid.

Please let me explain.  But, before I explain, let me lay some things out ……..

The one and only Trump advocacy, which I’m fully for, is the “wall” he proposes to build.  I wholeheartedly agree that this is a necessity.  I think this is the most important thing we can do as a people to continue to be a “people”.  There are a few other things Trump has identified as problems, but, his proposed solutions are in terrible error.   Tyranny is never solved by opposite tyranny.

But, what has this to do with Roy Clark?

It’s a great song!  Listen to it!!!

You see, one the most prominent arguments against unfettered immigration is that we “need” people to harvest our lettuce and apples and such.

We need them for the exact same reason it was necessary to have slaves to pick our cotton ….. to gin our cotton …. to do anything with our cotton.  Even with the advent of the cotton gin, we still needed people to pick cotton.  But, suddenly, with the Emancipation Proclamation, there could no longer be cotton pickers you didn’t have to pay.

It is true, cotton pickers remained.  But, the demand for cotton remained, as well, and increased.  It increased to a point where it was no longer economical to hire cotton pickers…… something else had to occur, and it did.

As a young man, I used to “haul hay”.  That is to say, the farmer would bail it on the field, and people like me would pick it up and move it to their barn.  Horrid work!!!  Good work!!!

But, as things are in this world, we always find more efficient ways to do things.  Just as we don’t pick cotton anymore, I almost never see the hay bales which I would haul.  Today, the hay is baled in huge round bales.  Sure, there are still some holdovers, but, it’s over.  The day of living off of hauling hay is over.  Technology is ending hay haulers.

Now, some will see this, as Luddites do, as a harm to the American worker.  It is not.  You see, for every hay hauler making a subsistence wage, companies had to hire workers to make the machinery which supplanted the hay haulers.  It’s simply a more efficient and cost effective way to do things.  More efficiency and more cost effectiveness means more wealth to the general public.  Computers used to cost thousands of dollars.  It is only by the increase of efficiency and technology which allowed millions to have computers and millions to have jobs producing and supporting said computers.

It would be the same for lettuce and apple pickers.  Instead, there is an insistence that we have to have these people because the American people are not willing to do such things.  It’s farcical!  If you pay me enough money, I’ll pick more lettuce than you can produce!  But, you have to pay me.  <——  And, this is what necessitates innovation.  It is the insistence of cheap labor which encumbers and thwarts innovation and efficiency.   It literally costs jobs/employment, and cheaper produce to insist on the manual and imported labor.

Don’t tell me we can’t invent a lettuce picker.  We’ve invented combines!!!!  We can easily harvest corn!!!  You can’t tell me we can come up with a way to more efficiently harvest corn  but, not lettuce.  We haven’t, yet, because some jackwagons have convinced everyone else we need illegals/slaves to pick/chop our lettuce.

I promise you, if we install doors, this nation will significantly increase in wealth and standard of living for every person living here.

That stated, I have no doubt in my mind that Donald Trump doesn’t understand a damned word I wrote.

The bullet is a mad thing, only the bayonet knows what it is about. —-Alexander Suvorov

Let me try to be less cryptic.  A mad thing destroys things it doesn’t understand.  Your enemy, you must understand.  You will never defeat a significant enemy if you don’t understand the enemy.  It is much worse if you don’t understand who your enemy is.

Our fight isn’t with immigrants, illegal or otherwise, our fight isn’t with ISIS, or Al Qaeda, our fight isn’t against Russia nor China.  Our fight is with the sorry sons-of-a-bitches that let caused those bitches be a problem for us.

None of the problems I mentioned in the previous paragraph should be a problem.  All of the problems I mentioned are easily dispatched by the will of the American people.  Most of the American public wishes these problems to go away.  It can easily be done with minimal angst.

All it necessitates is a somewhat intelligent person who understands the interests of the American people.  In my view, there are no current presidential candidates who rise to such a standard.

There is much more to state.  And, I will.  But, time and beer is cutting this short.  But, I will end this post with this ……

I’ve been told to vote the “lesser of two evils” time and again.  And, time and again, I complied.  Each time, I ended with exactly what I voted for —– evil.

I’ll never do it again

The lesser of two evils is always the smarter vote. Why would anyone assist the greater of two evils? If you don’t care about your own hide, at least care for your brother’s.

    • suyts says:

Because evil is evil. There’s no such thing as a “lesser of two evils”. How about insisting on no evil, instead?

      • gator69 says:

Make up your mind. One of the two candidates will be more evil than the other. Can you guess which one? If not, we will help you.

When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

        We are all sinners James.

        • suyts says:

Exactly, Gator! We are all sinners! Now, tell me what sins count more or less, or, are greater or lessor than other sins.

I know this, as long as we continue to accept evil we will continue to reap evil.

While other people may consider it well that I vote one way or another, I do not. I believe I would be doing a disservice to my fellow countrymen to support one or the other. This is a poison others have picked for me, against my stated desires. Well, then, it’s on them. My fellow countrymen have made their choices and are making their choices. I’ll let them live with it. And, may their consciences be lighter than the weight of my conscience for some of the choices I made for my fellow countrymen.

        • gator69 says:

I believe I would be doing a disservice to my fellow countrymen to support one or the other.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

If it helps, don’t think that your vote as being insupport of any candidate, but that it is against a candidate. Wether or not you vote, you are still a part of the equation of this election, and whoever wins will be decided by the likes of you and I both.

Not voting for Trump is supporting the D. You cannot run from your responsibility to your brothers and sisters, who are begging for mercy.

        • philjourdan says:

I look at it this way….
Right now I’m having a craving for an ice cream cake roll….ice cream cake roll…I can’t tell you how bad this craving is…..really

But if someone offered me peach cobbler…or coconut cake…I wouldn’t turn it down

Not that it would stop the craving… wouldn’t

…but I’m not going to turn down something else until I find an ice cream cake roll! LOL

        • I. Lou Minotti says:

James and Gator: Remember, brothers, there’s a Millennial Kingdom coming ruled by a perfect, sinless dictator where no politics will be allowed. There will be no Democrats, Republicans, or Independents. Our world will be ruled by the most Benevolent Despot the world and eternity could ever imagine, much less live in unless redeemed first by the blood and spiritual sacrifice of our True Benevolent Despot. It will be welcomed by those who themselves have been perfected by the sacrifice of Him who died and rose again. Entrance to that Kingdom doesn’t come by being a registered voter in the here-and-now, unless, of course, Jesus Christ is on the ticket. That would never happen, no matter what country you live in.

For me, watching earthly politicos with their machinations is comical. All we can do is vote for the best of the worst. But it’s our duty in America to do our best to vote to keep the worst out of power, and to maintain law and order.

The most wonderful Despot and Savior has promised to come back one day to finally save the world. Until that time (and in the United States of America), we have the duty to try to keep electing the best of the worst fallen, sinful despots our world could ever know–POLITICIANS.

        • Me says:

Well that didn’t take much did it?

        • I. Lou Minotti says:

Maybe a little bit of thought, “Me.” Something that is obviously lacking on your part. Tell us all, was it fetal alcohol syndrome on mommy’s part, or did she simply drop you on your goddamn head while nursing you?

        • Me says:

Again, so religious, and that didn’t take that much!

        • I. Lou Minotti says:

What source of Truth have you ever taken the time to study that led you to your current state of moronic idiocy? American Comic books? TV? The Internet? The bi-annual publication “Free Tree Logging Daily in Newfoundland: How to Keep Yourself Safe While Sitting On the Limb You’re Trying To Whack?”

No wonder your countrymen south of your border in Nova Scotia call numbskulls like you “Newfies.” And giving idiots like you a keyboard is akin to giving a monkey a machine gun.

But keep up the good work, madam. You always keep us entertained with your wit, knowledge and wisdom.

And by the way, my offer still stands. I’ve changed my physical address that was published here by me a few years back. When you finally grow a set and become a man that will back up your words with action, I’ll give you my new one.

Until then, you will remain a weak-willed, spineless idiot Newfie that NOBODY respects. At least if you were born black you’d have a credible excuse for your idiocy.

        • Me says:

Bwaaaaaaahahahahaha! Really, that still didn’t take much but say Noted and Noted! and then you go on a tantrum to say what you want people to believe. Classic!

        • I. Lou Minotti says:

You win again, wordsmith genius! Tell me, does the centralized government of Newfieland, Canada afford idiots with computer keyboards access to Kotex pads with your government-mandated death-care plans? You might want to look into that, since you could use a dozen or two at the same time for your mouth. But be forewarned–they might be free, which is something you’d surely turn down 😉

        • Me says:

You tell me, Since you seem to run from where you were to where you say you are now allow you to do the same? Or do you have to pay for that service like everyone else? 😆

        • Me says:

Since nyou are the mangina, you should know alot about kotex! 😆

        • Me says:

Tis funny that that slang came from jersey and you hate it, but reference kotex every chance ya can?

        • Me says:

So the bottom line is, you can’t take it just give it, and depend on like minded people to defend you. That is pretty much it now isn’t it?

    • I. Lou Minotti says:

Compelled to agree, Gator. Like James, I fully supported Ted Cruz. But with all his warts, I think Trump is still head and shoulders above the murderous Hildebeast (see Vincent Foster) or the other Communist dressed as merely a “social justice warrior” that could never hold down a real job before entering politics.

      • gator69 says:

I cannot stand Trump. Like Obama, when I hear him speak, I turn off the TV or radio. That said, I will vote against the D, and for Trump when the time comes.

        • I. Lou Minotti says:

It’s the only choice we’re being given. But as you posted a few years ago, I believe if all the bloodsucking politicos from either party did this on their own, America would revert to what our Framers deigned it to be. To wit:

        • Me says:

          Noted! And Noted!

        • I. Lou Minotti says:

Hey “Me,” who notes what you say except for James, a good guy that prolly feels sorry for you? Did you ever stop and think that your ideas should have been deleted years ago?

        • Me says:

          See my latest! 😆

        • Me says:

          Because apparently it’s you! 😆

        • Me says:

And apparently you got your way on most conservative like mind websites.

        • Me says:

So it’s no suprise that it’s your way to get people you don’t like banned. After all at Tony Hillers site it was the first I saw of you there and you were the most voilent to offer me to not only come down to where you live to beat the crap out of me but to even pay my way to do it and you confirmed that here yet again! So yeah, I doubt that and it isn’tin my best intress to take you up on that offer because ya know, Home turf and stuff! And you continue to say that? Are you mental or something?

        • Me says:

But that’s the thing now isn’t it??? It isn’t the first time I saw you there, but the first time you used the name you used!

        • I. Lou Minotti says:

There’s nothing that makes me happier than to be given the opportunity to knock out a mouthy, know-nothing idiot. Not shoot the idiot, mind you–just knock his sorry ass out, and then after the idiot wakes up, reach down, extend a hand, lift it up, and say, “you want to continue with your bullshit?”

Gun laws don’t apply to fists, and besides, when you shoot someone, they’re usually dead. Especially when I aim. I would rather leave a permanent remembrance for idiots like yourself, such as walking with a limp or a crimp in your forehead from a left hook that shreds satin.

It’s a win-win. You can say it was a war wound, and I can say I knocked out a mouthy idiot from Newfoundland that never did anything to make America better!

STFU, whackjob, jealous rent-seeker that could never be a true American. You whiners from north of the border could never make it here anymore. There are too many Hispanic landscapers and treecutters here now that work harder than you could ever do, and whine less.

Hey, here’s an idea! Go buy a chainsaw and try to become a lumberjack, jerk. Of course, that’s not possible because you spent last month’s welfare check in a bar, somewhere.

        • Me says:

Well pal bring it up here and see what happens!

        • Me says:

I don’t need so say much more than that. Bring it ya POS!

        • I. Lou Minotti says:

Good night, “Me.” Sleep it off, get up tomorrow morning, get breakfast from your local dumpster, which should be a good start for your day, and think about someone else you can hate on.

If you should ever decide to grow a set and come to SoLanCo, PA to meet me, you will be warmly greeted. The biblical people that live here welcome everyone. But we knock angry, jealous losers and problem-makers out first, shoot second, and answer questions last if visitors from Canada or any other goddamn third-world country tries to impose their will as “guests.”

Your heart is easy to read. You’re jealous and angry with nothing to offer to God’s world except your anger and hatred. No skills, which translates to not being blessed from On High. Just a born loser. Maybe that’s why James puts up with your neurotic nonsense–he feels sorry for your sorry ass.

          I don’t. You’re a loser.

        • Me says:

Yeah said like a real trupper, can’t handle the truth. and you and I and everyone here knows it. Son give it a break and deal with your own BS! As we all have to do.

        • Me says:

And the bottom line was all it took was to say it yet again, was noted and noted to set you off. And you didn’t realise I was here from the start and that you had to commit to being a liar as you’re willing to do and didn’t realise it. So now you are worndering where is the support that you always crave like you always got. Sucks to be you now doesn’t it?

        • Me says:

Here is a two fer just for u Mr lube mangianA!

        • Me says:

Oh and yeah, you accused me of hacking you too, not only stalking, but that too? And wanting to pay my way down there so you can beat the cap out of me, and say the offer still stands! So does it suck to be you or not? that shouldn’t be a question! 😆

        • Me says:

The problem is your leftist handlers won’t back you now because you are a liability pretending. So you go balls out to try to prove a point. And you know the story.

        • Me says:

But hey, that is an opinion as opposed to what you accused me of, so if my opinion is wrong then it’s because of what you said.

        • Me says:

And the thing is your accusations Trumps opinions. See the key word there? Trump! ya know just incase? 😆

      • I. Lou Minotti says:

You need to learn to read before you try to spell. It’s not “Tony Hiller’s” website, it’s Tony Heller’s website. And you need to get off this idea that I had you banned from there. I wouldn’t know Steve Goddard (Tony Heller) if I tripped over him on a bicycle path. If you have a beef about why you got banned from RealScience, why not have the nads to take it up with him, instead of blaming me?

Or maybe the reason you got banned is because he recognized your idiotic comments in much the same way as I did, and only wants thinking people posting on his site? Just a thought, Ms. Oversensitive Newfie.

        • Me says:

Yeah, doing the PC thang but know all lot about it none the less! And then play dumb about it and then follow me here to try and to the same. How did that work out fer ya?

        • Me says:

And not only that but try to blame me for following you here?

        • Me says:

Son you tried so say I was stalking you here, to what james created here never saw your name that you ever used here before, and I know because I was one of many that when james started his web site, and I followed him. And that was the beginning if this. So you and your words have no reality here. You started off with a lie and you continue with the lie. Now there are things that are noted, that is another thing all together.

        • Me says:

So if yo still want it being it up here and see how you fare? Because you are still a POS and always be a POS,

  2. Lars P. says:

    Now this is heavy:

Germany 20% more men then women in the 18-35 years group due to migration:

Australia hat a solution to the migration problem – the “boat people” disappeared a couple of years after they did no longer accept the illegal migration.

    • DirkH says:

One year’s cohort in that age group should be about 700,000 or 800,000; they talk about 18 such cohorts, so ca. 13 million; let’s say, 6.5 mill women, 6.5 mill men…

20% of that is 1.3 mill… which is about last 2 years imported Muslims.

So, ok, the number looks good.

  3. philjourdan says:

My last comment on your previous blog should have been made here as well.

I said it 4 years ago. And I will gladly go into the voting booth and mark Donald Trump. Conservatives tried to shortcut the process and take over an existing party. Remember McConnell? I remember your screed to support him. Fat lot of good that did. No, we cannot support an existing party. Not real conservatives. It does not work. We must destroy the ruling class in order to get what we want.

And Donald is going to do that. Will he do what conservatives want? Will he do what he has promised? I doubt it. But he will destroy the incestuous frat party in DC. And that is the only thing that can get us out of this downward spiral. You are right in one respect. The problems are not the problems the media enumerates. It is the politicians. And more so, the parties. We have 2 senators that are invisible in DC because they are so far up Obama’s butt that all you can see are toes wiggling from his bung hole. That is what has to be broken up.

I will vote for Donald Trump. Not because I agree with him. But because I agree with what he represents. The destruction of Rome. If Donald Trump does nothing else than destroy the Power elite of the Republican party (well on his way already), that will be enough.

I am old, and tired. As it is, the country I grew up in is no more. ANd I mourn for my children. They have to live in this cesspool. And nothing short of a revolution (which does not have to be violent, only effective) that destroys the old power structure is going to bring about any change. Voting for McConnell or Reid makes no difference. And as long as the power structure is in place, that is the only choice you have.

    • Probably our last chance to do it nonviolently. If there is a chance at all. Most likely long gone, in reality.

We should all be making the virtues of violence our constant companion. The other side has a headstart.

      • philjourdan says:

When you adopt the tactics of your enemy, you have become your enemy.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

Rejecting self-defense makes you the slave of your enemy.

        • philjourdan says:

I said nothing about self defense. The idiots tossing Molotov Cocktails are not doing it in self defense. The morons beating up Trump supporters are not doing it in self defense. The liberals crapping on cop cars are not doing it in self defense.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

Violence created us. It will be required to sustain us.

        • philjourdan says:

No, violence created the USSR. A goal, a noble idea, a yearning to be free created us. Everywhere there is Socialism there is violence. Everywhere there is freedom, violence tries to invade and is either beaten back or subverts the society.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

          It’s damaging to claim otherwise.

        • philjourdan says:

Then I am damaging. I claim otherwise.

        • gator69 says:

Nonsense. Adopting tactics is a means to an end, and not the end. Fighting fire with fire does not make you a flame.

        • philjourdan says:

Then you are them,. The ends justify the means. A sad testimony of our society, but that is what we are now. The ends justify the means.

          And that is not conservative.

        • gator69 says:

No, I am still me, just using a different tactic.

Now if I take up the principles of my enemy I become my enemy, but that is a different story. Tactics are not principles.

        • philjourdan says:

But you cannot keep your principles (in all honesty) if you take up their tactics. To proclaim you are means you are them because that is what they have already done. Say one thing, do another.

Trading one tyrant for another is not freedom.

        • gator69 says:

But you cannot keep your principles (in all honesty) if you take up their tactics.

          Absolutely I can.

If a murderous rapist breaks into my home with the intent of murdering me and raping my wife, I do not become a murderous rapist when I kill him. Your statement is false.

        • philjourdan says:

Just because you kill him does not mean you took up his tactics. His tactics were murder and rape (in your example). Sorry, that is the way it goes.

        • gator69 says:

His tactics were murder and rape

No, his goals were murder and rape. His tactic was his plan for acheiving his goals.

an action or method that is planned and used to achieve a particular goal

English is my first language, and I know it well.

        • philjourdan says:

I never claimed you did not know your first language. However, his tactics were rape and murder. His GOAL was degradation and humiliation. You are merely confusing the means the ends.

        • gator69 says:

No PJ, I am not the confused party. Killing was a tactic used by both parties to arrive at different goals.

        • philjourdan says:

You still do not get it. But at least you now admit you were wrong about the goals.

        • gator69 says:

PJ, if you had said, “When you adopt the goals of your enemy, you have become your enemy”, then you would have been correct. Again, a tactic is a way to obtain a goal, and the same tactic can be used to obtain entirely different goals.

          Language matters.

        • philjourdan says:

No, I said and meant tactics. The goals of combatants are the same – defeat the opposition. The tactics are what defines them.

        • gator69 says:

          And you are still wrong.

        • philjourdan says:

No, you still do not understand. If you act like those you hate – what is the difference between you and them? Just hypocrisy.

        • gator69 says:

We act like those we hate everyday. We get up, go to work, and pay bills. It is our goals that separate us.

Your original statement that started this discussion, as well as your attempts to defend that false premise, are wrongheaded.

        • philjourdan says:

No. Again, you are using the ends justify the means. The goals may be different or the same. But if you use the tactics (witness San Jose) to get to your goals – you have become that which you detest.

Getting up and going to work is not a tactic. Beating the pulp out of your opposition because they are the opposition is a tactic.

        • gator69 says:

Wrong again PJ. I am not an ends justifies the means guy. I don’t know if you are being intentionally obtuse, or if you are simply blinded by your zeal to be right.

Every action we take is a tactic. Tactics alone can be good or bad, but the real difference between us and our enemies is our goals. So if I take up a useful and legitimate tactic my enemy uses for evil, and I use it for good, I am not my enemy.

Face it, your assertion was overly broad, and wrong.

        • Latitude says:

When you adopt the tactics of your enemy, you have become your enemy.
unfortunately, if your enemy is winning and you don’t….you look like a wuss

        • philjourdan says:

We did not have to kill 6 million Jews, and 15 million Slavs to defeat Hitler. Adopting the inhumanity of your opponent makes you just as inhuman.

Every tin plated dictator who rose to power over throwing another tin plated dictator used your exact same logic. It does not work, You may “win”, but in so doing, you are replacing one tyrant with another.

        • DirkH says:

“When you adopt the tactics of your enemy, you have become your enemy.”

Not in general. A tactic might be taking cover and shooting at the enemy, which is simply rational. A tactic might be to enforce consent by kneecapping any dissenter, which might be objectionable.
Although, the standard change. Spear-wielding cultures might find the use of shotguns similarly unethical as we object to nuclear weapons.

        • philjourdan says:

Again, we are not talking defense. We are talking tactics. When you lynch someone because they are the wrong color or thought – you have become the enemy. When you persecute someone because he is not a sycophant, you have become the enemy. When the enemy attacks, you defend. But you do not adopt their tactics or you have become them.

        • It’s unethical to not defend yourself and your own, and everything that makes you who that is, by any means necessary. It’s amazing how seemily rational people reject that most basic definition of humanity. Or of being any lifeform.

        • philjourdan says:

Again, I never said anything about defense. I agree, you do not fight politically correct when attacked. But you do not firebomb buses, lynch people for thinking different, kill those who disagree with you. That is the tactic of the left, of socialism, of tyranny, of defeat.

If you are shot at, yes you shoot back. Or you bomb the sucker. But if someone is sneering at you because they do not agree with you, you do not hang them. If you do, you are them. And they have won. The name changes, the situation does not.

        • Me says:

          What would George Washington do?

        • leftinflagstaff says:

But the point is, Phil, we are absolutely under attack.

        • philjourdan says:

But not with bombs and rockets. With ideas. When they resort to violence, at least now, it is still illegal and still immoral. They do not care that there were dozens of funerals for children in Chicago last year, all due to their actions. Do you care? Do you want to bury a 3 year old because you disagree with the left?

If that is what it takes to win, we have already lost.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

What makes us, Us, is us.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

If violence is required to do so, so be it. Or we don’t deserve to keep it.

        • Just because it’s a couple hundred years later doesn’t mean our right, and responsibility, to use that violence is void.

        • philjourdan says:

Again, I have not talked about the absolute use of violence. You want to adopt the tactics of your enemies, go right ahead. But I will not support you. I have been to enough funerals. I will defend. I will not use violence to prove that my point.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

          The tyrants appreciate your mindset.

Wanting to bury anyone is absurd. Understanding the need to is maturity.

        • philjourdan says:

Absurd? You do not know your enemies. Before saying what is and is not, it is best to learn what is. Google the number of children killed in one city last year. Then google the number of protests over those deaths. Google Ferguson. Baltimore. Or even Florida. To see what is glorified.

Yea, that will solve things. Go ahead and kill some more. For no reason. Are you threatened? No, but violence appears to be your only answer. Go join Hillary and Bernie. It is theirs as well.

        • Latitude says:

I see both sides of this…it’s not a stretch

…and that perception is spot on, they are

Who has paid for all these riots? killings? trashing cities and killing people? Even the riots outside the Trump rallies….demonstrating at a soldiers funeral….

If you listen to the media….it’s the radical crazy conservatives we have to be afraid of…the TEA party…

yet there has not been one conservative riot outside a Hillary or Bernie rally…..

          That perception is spot on……….

        • philjourdan says:

Nothing is ever easy. Except to succumbing to what you are fighting against. Yes, they appear to be getting away with it. They have their paid mouthpieces doing very well in that regard. But isn’t that part of what we stand against? So how would it look if we then are arguing against ourselves?

And that is my point. LIF wants to get down in the gutter with them. But when 2 pigs wrestle in the mud, how do you pick out your pig?

        • Latitude says:

Nope not easy….but what we’ve been doing so far is not working
They have managed to frame all conservatives/republicans as gun totting manics…or inbred country half wits

…the majority in this country is sick and tired of it
and sick and tired of minorities having preference over majorities

This election has proved it for both sides.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

Except, it’s exactly about not ending up in the gutter with them, Phil.

Glad you weren’t making the call way back when. But keep those blinders on and you’ll soon be back there.

        • They’ve drug the gutter to your front door. Next will be the living room. Why not fight them at the front door?

These supposed high morals are very good at allowing the enemy time to gain the strength to beat you.

        • philjourdan says:

I said my piece. And you still misunderstand. Defense is not their tactics. But you are bound and determined to equate not wallowing in the gutter with rolling over and asking for more.

        • leftinflagstaff says:

And I shouldn’t leave myself out. As much to blame as anyone. I grew up healthy and happy behind these castle walls we thought impenetrable. And now just sit and watch the enemy camped outside, in plain sight, building their siege towers and battering rams. Perfecting the arc on their catapults. But hey, my award for being above that stuff is still displayed proudly on the shelf.

        • philjourdan says:

There were 6 million Jews and 20 million Slavs in Dresden? Who wrote your history books?

        • DirkH says:

“Casualties: Around 25,000 people were killed by Allied bombers over the course of two night raids on the city of Dresden in Saxony, Germany, in February 1945”

This is not entirely correct. Rather 25,000 bodies were counted. Nobody knew how many people were in Dresden as refugeee convoys from the East had filled up the city. So nobody knows how many people died and were completely incinerated (“Completeley burned”; the Greek word for this is “Holocaust”)

        • philjourdan says:

And how many of those were rounded up and shoved into ovens?

And how many were tattooed and put in Dresden before the action because they were “undesirable”?

Sorry, your history books need to be reviewed. Your point is a non-sequitur.

        • DirkH says:

“We did not have to kill 6 million Jews, and 15 million Slavs to defeat Hitler. ”

And there’s another facet to this: In fact “you” would not have had to incinerate Dresden, as the burning of the city had no military meaning.

Make of this what you will. I am neither blaming any currently living American nor the British or American population of the time; only the war criminals in charge; and they are dead.

        • philjourdan says:

It was war. That was enemy territory. Show me the declaration of war Hitler signed against the Jews.

        • philjourdan says:

You are getting it. But defense is not offense. Protecting someone from harm is not attacking and raping as others have alleged. So the tactics are not the same. • gator69 says:

Remember McConnell? I remember your screed to support him. Fat lot of good that did. No, we cannot support an existing party. Not real conservatives. It does not work. We must destroy the ruling class in order to get what we want.

And Donald is going to do that.

Phil, I’m not trying to pile on. The conversation you guys are having is a great conversation and a very worthwhile discussion. But, I’d like to go back to your original comment.

Yes, I do very much remember McConnell. And, I have been shown to be very wrong about McConnell. And, I’ve learned from it. You see, he had the best chance of winning over the “D”. And, his rhetoric was pretty good, as was his past voting record. So, if he’s just a little bit less than his “R” opponent, but, has a better chance to beat the “D”, then, you should support McConnell …… that is to say, I accepted a little bit of less for the greater good. I was horribly wrong and regret my posts about supporting Mitch to this day.

But, this brings me back to “The Donald”. You say he’s going to destroy the ruling class? How? In what manner? This is a man who actually brags about the money he’s contributed to both parties, regardless of the principles. Trump doesn’t know anything else other than the ruling class. He’s not going to change anything nor destroy anything. It’s the only structure he knows how to navigate. He is absolutely one of those people we complain about. He buys politicians and policies! How would we come to believe he’s going to destroy the very and only thing he knows how to do?

If Trump manages to win the election, which I seriously doubt he will, but, if he does, what’s he going to do to the Repub party? Nothing, he’s going to play “let’s make a deal!!!”, and the establishment Repubs will happily play along. What’s he going to do to the Dims? Play politically incorrect for a few years? He’ll still be for socialized medicine, he’ll still play up the “taxing the rich”, Planned Parenthood will still be going strong. Eminent domain will be on steroids. …… He is as principled as Hillary is.

My only hope is that we can shame him into actually building a wall …… but, the man knows no shame. And, so, there’s that.

      • philjourdan says:

RULING class Suyts. Not the 1%, the ruling class. It is comprised of those whose whole life is politics – the entitled mentality. And he already is. He is destroying it by winning. Not to say that the cancer will not re-occur – it probably will. But this is a hard blow to them. Just as Reagan was 36 years ago.

Think of McConnell (and I disagree that he was best to win – that is the MSM talking again). He once was a conservative. Now he is just part of the ruling class. Boehner, Cantor (that should have told you that McConnell was not the only game in town), now Ryan – these are not democrats (the democrats are even more festerous than the Rs).

But will he deal with the Republicans? Sure! He will deal with the democrats as well. And I would not be surprised to see them gang up on him. Which will lay bare all the more that the letter behind the name is a sham. He still has to run the country. But by winning, he will have broken the stranglehold of the power elite on who gets to run. Just as Bernie is trying to do (and while I have nothing in common with him philosophically, I admire him for doing that) on the other side.

If nothing else, Trump will show the US that we (the people – remember the first 3 words of the DOI) can chose our own people. Not accept the hand-me-downs from the ruling class. And that is worse than defeat for them (hence why they are working to get Hillary elected – she is the last ruling class moron in the field).

Ya know the media will have a hayday with it, ya know he doesn’t give a crap about what they say, ya know no one now trust the media’s word anymore as they seem to do the bidding for their like minded Dems anyway. Because after all the Dems aren’t going after coal because it can be done with tech and machines like your cotton example, Coal in todays age can easly be automated and all that heavy equiment can be controlled just like drones. They are going after it because of Green ideology and intrest with that. That is what Clinton and Sanders are going for. The Juggelar, and anyone related to that industry that brings a cheap product for you. And your song above, I never picked cotton, is a bad example for the coal industry. Because that says that industry is bad and loosing ones dad at an early age, and all the rest of the family is picking cotton and still doing so. That just adds fuel to their fire, just saying. If no one wanted to tell you then I did.

And if you don’t believe me, then look no farther than people like yourself that will run cables with WIFI to control the muckers and drilling rigs in a mine behind a computer screen. And as for your cotton picking machine, I already have ideas on how to make that work, and If i can figure that our then it’s already being done.

        • Me says:

And the funny thing is there is nothing that I can find online that proves that and I did the heavy equipment course 2 years ago and the tech inside was basic computer tech, and the instructors was telling me the tech out there was where the operator didn’t have to do anything but sit and watch and get paid big money. The equipments computers did it all. So they got paid because of unions.

        • Me says:

Your first-past-the-post voting system makes it all but impossible to have anything but a 2 party duel. The only thing that alleviates that is the primary elections, which WE don’t have in Germany – but; this is compensated for by a proportional voting system so we can have more parties.

THe primary voters have spoken and it’s Trump. That’s the hand you’re dealt. With your system, you will *NEVER* have anything but TWO opponents to choose from during the general election.

In Europe it’s different. We have coalition governments in all of central Europe.

BTW; the fact that Merkel turned the CDU into a feminist-progressive party and STILL has 30 % vote; and 20 % for the identically feminist-progressive party SPD just shows that 50% of the voters WANT this; i.e. they are crazy. Most of them should be female. Females NEVER protect a nation. They want strong aggressive males. They don’t care whether they are warriors from the outside.

    • philjourdan says:

On a philosophical level, I agree with the intent of your comment. But the reality is that it is not true. ANd remember, Lincoln was a 3rd party Candidate before he was a major party candidate.

    12. What is her take on the Vince Foster “Suicide”?
    13. Why did she think she was entitled to steal the White House furniture when she left?
    14. Why do you lie even about things that mean nothing: lying about being under sniper fire in Bosnia, lying about being named after Sir Edmund Hillary, or lying that your grandparents were immigrants.
    15. Should America be concerned that in ChinaGate, the 22 people that were convicted of fraud or for funneling Asian funds into the DNC were associates of Bill Clinton?
    16. Did selling stays at the Lincoln Bedroom to political donors make you feel like a wh)o(re?
    17. Does Hillary think Juanita Broadrick lied when she said on national news that Bill Clinton raped her?
    18. Is she still okay that Bill goes to pedophile island with Jeff Epstein?
    19. Why are there so many murdered and suicided people in the Clinton’s immediate circle?
    20. Doesn’t the fact that the Clinton Foundation has to amend 5 years of its tax returns for improper reporting imply that you were involved in an illegal RICO enterprise?
    21. Doesn’t approving the Russian-owned Uranium One deal as secretary of state–because of illegal contributions to your foundation–in fact make you a traitor to this country?
    22. Was it wise to have at least four Clinton Foundation board of directors that have either been convicted or charged of the financial crimes of bribery and fraud?
    23. Why, Hillary, did you pay your female senate staffers 72% of what you paid your male staffers?
    24. When you represented an accused pedophile rapist, why did you laugh when you got him off even though you believed him to be guilty?
    25. She said she had one e-mail address, it came out that she had two; She said she had one device, it came out that she had two: She said none of her e-mails on her private server was classified, but when the State Dept handed over 300 e-mails the FBI redacted large sections of one, proving again she was wrong. Thus, Ms. Clinton, are you incompetent or just a congenital liar?”

      +1…and that’s the short list

I remember number 5 when it happened, though I think they kept it off the TV feed (live as I recall). What I don’t recall well is if what we know as CSPAN (just checked, CSPAN started in 1979) was inspired by the televising of the Watergate Committees’ (there were two) hearings.

Jihadist knife murder and rampage on metro train 20 miles from me. Including a day of OUTRAGEOUS COLLECTIVE lying by the entire German press.
    This will all collapse tomorrow.

    • DirkH says:

My source looks bad. I retract. The knife murder did happen but we still don’t know identity of perpetrator. He MIGHT be a German who converted to Islam, at least he screamed Allahu Ackbar.

I really do not understand this…
First a disclaimer….I have gay friends, gay relatives, gay people I work with, gay neighbors..
…any one that doesn’t know or associate with gay people in this day and age has to be living under a rock…
That said, I don’t get it……why would you want to hire someone that doesn’t want to do it??
    Baker?, wedding?….especially a therapist???
that would be like trying to force a car mechanic to work on your car….after he told you he doesn’t work on that car, can’t stand that car, and knows nothing about that car???

They are what they call us, intolerant bullies that abhor diversity.

    • DirkH says:

Lat; the SJW’s and their ancestors never managed to produce a working socialism (not even in Israel, where it collapsed in 1980).
So they are told in universities that their ONE SHINING SUCCESS was the Civil Rights Movement. And all of these SJW’s get educated in tactics used in the Civil Rights Movement and see it as their goal in life to produce another similar success.
And as there are plenty of them churned out by the useless university courses – and only one percent of them can get a job – as the next generation SJW professor – all the rest are running around like crazy using Civil Rights Movement bullying tactics on any normal person they can find.

So they invent transgenders, handicapped, gays, whatever and pose as such to do SOMETHING.

Here in Germany I think these people become “AntiFa” pro-Islam fanatics, as they think that islamisation is the key factor in destroying (white male patriarchic) Eurpoean culture (they are right in that).

These people must be stopped. The easiest way is by destroying their breeding grounds: The universities.

      • Me says:

It’s a no win situation in this libertarded SJW world. And any woman that stands up and condractes their views is mocked and ridiculed. Not only do they want the right type of person representing them but if iis a black person, or spanish person, or or anyone they deem is unworthy then the fangs come out. They talk of freedome but if anyone dares to question their ideas of that they believe then they blame those of what they really are and project it. And it’s cause they think they have control and don’t realise they are being used. The thing is we are all being used, how much you are willing to be paid for it is a different story.

        • Me says:

And then there are those paying to be the the bestest SJW and find out they are just like everyone else, and the funny thang is they don’t get paid to be that, they paid to be tought to think that. And now accept less than minimum wage to protest because they paid to think that way! So bottom line is they owe, and was tought to think that it isn’t their fault! Err somethang.

    • Square peg, round hole. Trying to normalize something which can never be.

All we can do is choose to tolerate that abnormality or not. We should have the choice to do so or not.

They do not want to hire them. They want to degrade and humiliate them. But instead of violence, their means are the courts.
