I think Ramirez is low-balling the number by quite a bit.
Someone please remind me to expand and expound on this. As once was stated, “history repeats itself because no one was paying attention the first time.” —– people, we’re here.

No worries. We’ll get it right this time. We’re smarter now, and more peaceful.
Thank you
Alfred
…and in the mean time we are having another “Mariel” in Miami…..mass exodus of Cubans to the US because they are afraid Obama is going to stop the wet foot, dry foot…
Cubans in Miami are saying each time gets worse…and this new group is the lowest class trash…have no respect for private property, because they all grew up with the government owning everything…have no idea what getting a job and working means….and they are all lying thieving crooks…
Well, what would you expect them to be….that’s the way you survive in Cuba now…
…that’s communism
Interesting paradox of the Gini index: If you take all Cubans except Castro, the society is perfectly equal.
If you include Castro, the society is perfectly unequal.
Inclusion of one guy flips the Gini index from its one extreme to the opposite.
The wikipedia goons haven’t figured THAT one out yet:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gini_coefficient#Limitations_of_Gini_coefficient
And imperfectly unequal is the closest possible to moral. Each to their abilities. Not to their needs.
I’m not really astounded, but I had to google for what he actually said, as I didn’t know how much poetic license Ramirez took.

It’s BTW not capitalism when a central bank determines the interest rate, and especially not when interest rates are NEGATIVE. A CAPITALIST will actually completely withdraw from a monetary system with negative interest rates, or at least as much as he can.

Oh, this one is good
Obama:
“Medical care — the life expectancy of Cubans is equivalent to the United States, despite it being a very poor country, because they have access to health care. ”
NOPE – life expectancy in Cuba is so big because they do not count any infant death up to 72 hours after birth.
Well as things stand I wouldn’t trust US government statistics either.
Not to mention quality of life.
Here’s the nasty secret no one will talk about….
Immigrants that are already here legally….want to shut the borders and bomb anyone trying to get in…..that goes for Cubans, Mexicans, …..all of them
They are 100% totally against open borders…..and like Trump
..the ones that don’t like Trump, like open borders…..are not here legally///illegals
Only one of those systems allows me to decide what works for me.
+10!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mr Obama needs an edumacation….or soix.
Communism / Socialism …………..don”t allow YOU to decide what’s BEST for you.
Spot on Dirk. I can’t think of a place that’s remotely close to what is commonly regarded as a “capitalist society”. NIRP is such a bastardization of any economic thought I can’t even categorize it.
Capitalism is BTW a word coined by none other than Karl Marx. During a time in which the USA had abolished their central bank; and currencies were Gold-backed, and inflation nonexistent. Marx would have a hard time identifying the paper money system of today as “capitalist”. Especially given that ca. 9 of the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto are *implemented* across the West…
Indeed.
