Well, I’ve quickly had my fill of this disingenuous babbling nonsense from the left and faux Christians.
Over the last couple of days I’ve seen several stories and articles by leftists quoting Biblical scripture in an effort to brow-beat Christians in the US to accept the “Syrian refugees”.
Before addressing their disingenuous new reliance on God’s Word, I’ll make a couple of secular points.
First of all, the issue isn’t that they are foreigners wishing to come to the US. I know of no conservative group or Republican candidate who wishes to eliminate immigration, nor, do I know of any wishing to eliminate the US accepting refugees in general.
At issue is the lack of ability to properly vet these people. Unlike our leftarded countrymen, us learned and aware people were actually watching what was unfolding in Europe years before what happened in Paris the other day. Indeed, Europe was in the throws an immigration/refugee crisis before the Syrian dustup and ISIS.
But, specifically towards the Syrian/ISIS crisis, here’s what we saw in Europe: There was/is no way to determine whether or not the supposed “refugee” was indeed Syrian or not. In Europe, 80% of the refugees were not Syrian at all!
Now, because we can’t distinguish Syrian from others, it’s important to note the demographics of the “refugees” moving to (invading) Europe. Here’s a picture for the slow leftards …..
The circled portion notes 72% are men. (complicated math done by this site)
Now, given that the US and Europe share a lot of information and techniques it’s unreasonable to believe the US would be better at identifying a Syrian vs say a Jordanian or Saudi than Europe.
Let us also note, one of the Paris lunatics had acquired a Syrian passport. And, all of this is the problem. We can’t vet these people! We don’t know goodguys from badguys! Which, brings me back to the WWJD issue.
As noted above, I’ve seen leftards quickly, and many seemingly for the first time, break out Biblical verses to brow-beat US Christians into accepting these “refugees”. As a FB friend noted, it seems a little off for the left to suddenly be jumping up and down about accepting refugees. The US recently deported some Syrian refugees who found their way to California. It turns out, they weren’t Muslim, they were Yazidi. They also deported some Christian Iraqi refugees, earlier. Nary a peep from the left, much less biblical verses sent to the Administration or immigration judges. Just birds chirping.
But, today ……. today, we see examples of the left’s newfound soul! Here are a couple of examples ….
Well, what about that? I’m a Christian, how could I possibly oppose allowing in these Syrian refugees? What could possibly be my justification for such an advocacy?
I won’t answer each verse, there are many other posts and articles using different verses, it would be a fruitless exercise. But, I will state this; all of the verses are under the pretext that the stranger/foreigner isn’t in my house and homeland to do me and my countrymen harm.
By all means, yes, take the orphans and the widows ……. assuming we can be sure they’re not going to be like the suicide bomber woman the people in Europe encountered just today.
Again, this is the problem. It is vetting!
So, let’s get to the question as to WWJD? Well, what would Jesus do?
I’ll start my answer by asking a question. How many terrorists interspersed among the real refugees would be acceptable for the left? If we carte blanc accept each applicant we absolutely know there will be terrorists among them. If there was only one among them, would it be okay to accept 10,000 refugees? The answer to this question is easy. The answer is zero. We have to know there isn’t one among any of the refugees we accept. This is what Jesus would say, this is what He would do! How do I know this? I’ll answer this with another question. How many terrorists will Jesus let enter His kingdom? Would he allow just one among the millions of believers when we see God?
Unfortunately, Jesus has the ability to see in one’s soul and discern their intent and cause. We do not have this ability. But, we do know terrorists will be interspersed among the people claiming refugee status. What would Jesus do? He’s already told us what He would do.
For those young in the Christian walk, do not be fooled by these people. They are not advocating for Jesus, nor His kingdom. They are attempting to use the Word for their twisted world view.
