I had thought of writing something eloquent and profound for this day, but, it’s very difficult for me. You see, I’m a veteran and I don’t want to come off as braggadocios nor demanding some honor or another. More, the service I provided pales in comparison to the service so many others have provided, much less those who gave the ultimate service to our nation and her people.
I ask for naught, but, this …….
Remember what this nation was founded for and by. In my estimation, the best way to honor us veterans is to remain true to the cause of the United States and her people. There is but one other document which should be regarded more than the US Constitution and the ideas and principles behind the Constitution, that is, the Holy Bible.
For an American, the US Constitution should be constantly read and studied. We should hold, not just our elected leaders, but all citizens, to the constraints of the Constitution and ensure the rights listed in the Constitution be held firm for all citizens. All of us should zealously guard this nation, her borders, and her people. Some of us have put on a uniform towards this end, but, it is the duty of all citizens to be true to these United States while ensuring the people of these United States abiding by the words of the Constitution, help ensure that all of us be free men and women in a law abiding orderly society, safe from our enemies, both foreign and domestic. This is the best way to honor our service members and our veterans.
God Bless you all,
