Well, I’m not a Royals fan, but, they’ve done well lately (last couple of years), and have taken control of the World Series, going up 2-0.
But, that’s not all which happened, last night. This did ….
14 million viewers watched the Repub debate on MSNBC, which, of course, is a record for the leftarded media outlet. Cruz knocked it out of the park with that one. Apparently, he raised $ hundreds of thousands just last night. I think that while no one is really talking about Cruz, he’ll be there until the end. His base is solid. They aren’t going anywhere. Contrast that to the candidates who have people jumping from bandwagon to bandwagon. ……. Trump, Carson, Fiorna …… Their base is fluid.
Regardless of any conservative’s or Republican’s view of Cruz, they all agreed with him in the 2 minute video. Many moderates and undecided people did, too.
Some other takes from the debate, according to the consensus of pundits (I didn’t watch the debate, only the videos and read the opinions and play by play.) …… Jeb is done. He went after Rubio and failed. As a tactic, it is a good tactic. If you can’t be the lead vote getter from your home state of Florida, then, you’re not going to win the Repub nomination. It’s just that simple. But, you have to execute your tactics, and Bush failed. Bush has deep pockets and staying power, but, he’s not resonating, and he won’t. I believe it’s simply too late to try and repackage himself, and I don’t know that he’d even try. Either way, he won’t come off as genuine, as he doesn’t today. He’s a guy who Washington insiders want, but, no one else, and he can’t package himself as being someone the people want.
While we’re talking about Florida, even after Jeb quits, and I really believe he will, Rubio is no lock on Florida’s Repubs. Remember, Cruz is Cuban. I promise you, every politically motivated Cuban in Florida knows who Ted Cruz is. And, that brings me to Texas. When Jeb quits, I expect a bump towards Cruz. It is entirely foreseeable that Cruz can win both Florida and Texas, in both the primaries and general election. Have I mentioned that is the only way a Republican can win the general election? Any Republican candidate must win both Texas and Florida to have even a remote chance to be POTUS. There’s simply no way around it. In spite of some other candidates’ ties to other states such as California and New York, no Republican will carry either in the general election in my lifetime, going forward. It simply will not happen, again.
Watch the poll numbers, I expect them to change soon. I don’t believe it will be a wild swing, but, I think the race just got tighter, and some of the pretenders, rather than contenders, will be shown the door.
In response and honor to Cruz’ response, I’ve decided to add another category to write under, “Media”. It’s not that I haven’t written about our LSM, but, now, I’ve added the category. I probably won’t go back and re-label all of the posts that I’ve written, and so, I don’t know how many I will write under this category, but, at least one more.
I went with baseball. Forgot all about the debate. I AM a true American. 🙂
Cruz is growing on me, however.
Ted Cruz is a Christian man with his head on his shoulders. He understands the origins of not only America, but of Western Society as a whole. I prefer to call his mindset as one reflecting what our Lord and Savior granted to thinking, elect (chosen) people, based upon the Bible and biblical (and post-biblical, modern-day) history that’s done nothing less than prove the Bible’s veracity. Here’s the flow chart:
1). The Bible, with its Mosaic laws which set the Standard.
2). The Family, as described in Genesis chs. 1 & 2 (from the Bible, no less).
3). The Magna Carta, (circa 1215 AD) which embarrassed tyrannical government officials to repent, and leave people to live by themselves and take care of themselves without whining if they’re lazy losers that reap their due rewards, or gloating if they’re industrious, hard-working winners that have taken on God’s challenge to overturn His curse on mankind. Whiners vs. winners.
4). Samuel Rutherford’s Lex Rex (The Law is King, circa 1640 AD), which stated that government officials are not above the laws they impose over us peons.
4). The writings of John Locke, which amplified and explained #1-4 above.
5). The United States Constitution (circa 1776-1790). An imperfect document, until perfected by the Anti-federalists (nasty, evil people that love biblical freedom and truth and personal independence) that insisted upon the following concessions before they’d sign on:
6). The Bill of Rights (circa 1790).
Ted Cruz is a Christian man with his head on his shoulders. May his tribe increase.
Thank you!
James, I’m stupid. What exactly does ICYMI mean? Is it “code” for something?
Lou, you’re not stupid. In this case, you’re ignorant, which, I’ll promptly help. ICYMI = In Case You Missed It.
BTW, the US Constitution is still an imperfect document, in spite of the Bill of Rights, as the current state of the US is witness.
Thanks for calling me ignorant. Why is it that your sister knows more about the Bible than you? That has to be embarrassing for any man that seeks to speak truth and righteousness, unless she’s being used to add credibility to a website that isn’t so much about biblical truth, but about politics. Now, that’s ignorance of the founding document of eternity.
But, thanks for the help. (1 Tim. 2:11-15).
I don’t miss anything. I left a skilled trade as a general foreman paying $80,000.00 per year for six years in order to learn God’s Word that nobody in His Church believes, anyway.
$80,000 X 6= $480,000.00
Including tuition at PCB and Grace Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana, (where “Christian” theologians can’t wait to bludgeon each other), my loss is about $700,000.00. Why shouldn’t I simply read my Bible on my own, drink my beer, and go fishing?
I’ve earned it after dealing with a lifetime of goddamn idiots. Family included.
What have you done to prove what you have to offer?
Lou, don’t get your panties in a wad. The definition of ignorant is “lacking knowledge or information”. My use of the word wasn’t meant as an insult, but, rather, I used it in its proper form. And, now that you know what ICYMI means, you’re no longer ignorant of its meaning.
I am ignorant of many things. 1 Timothy 2 isn’t one of them. I’m not sure how you’d come to the conclusion my sister knows more about the Bible than I, but, I don’t hold it as a competition. Both of us have read and studied the Word since early youth. Nor does she exercise any authority over me. But, then, I’m not her husband (<—- be sure to check the literal translation of the words in the Word), either, so ….. But, if you knew her husband, you'd know she doesn't exercise any authority over him, either. Nor does she instruct him. Rather, she submits to her husband and is his helpmate.
As to you reading the Bible, drinking beer and fishing, I can't say you shouldn't.
As to me, it is true, I'm probably the world's biggest underachiever. I've squandered much of the gifts given me. So much so, I'm left with nothing but Truth as my proof and judge against me and my words. If it is true as to what I do or say, then, the truth in it is revealed. And so it is if what I do and say isn't founded in Truth. This too, is revealed. This is my proof.
Again, Lou, don't get excited about the word "ignorant". It isn't an insult. I used it as an acceptable alternative towards your unacceptable description of yourself, to wit, "stupid".
