October 4 Scripture Selection: Isaiah 25-27

Food for Thought: Is. 25:6-9; 27:6

Before our very eyes, we are witnessing the fulfillment of God’s desire to include people from every nation, tribe, and tongue into His beautiful, glorious Church. The Lord loves all people immeasurably and unconditionally, and He is fulfilling His master plan to reach every person with the Gospel, as He flattens all geographic, linguistic, and cultural obstacles. By His Spirit, He has removed the veil so that the precious people are able to see Him and His truth and rejoice in His salvation. And as time winds down and we approach the end of the world, the Great Commission to “go into all the world and preach the Gospel” (Mark 16:15) seems all the more urgent, and with the great size and strength of the Body of Christ, it is not only doable, it is being achieved at an ever-increasing speed.

The Body of Christ, the Church, is greater than we can imagine! And His Kingdom literally extends from one end of the globe to the other. What an amazing privilege it is to be numbered among the tribes and nations who are glad and rejoice in His salvation! Just imagine, at any given time, there are millions of people calling Him Lord and worshiping Him, and you and I are counted among them and joined with them in Spirit.

For many, despite great hardship, with even more intense hardships to come in the Great Tribulation (Isaiah 25 and Revelation 7:9-17), they remain true to the Lord Jesus Christ, even to death, looking forward to the day when we’ll all come together to worship the Lord and attend the marriage supper of the Lamb (Rev. 19:1-9). What a spectacular, joyous time it will be! Until then, we can enjoy the “pre-show,” making disciples of all nations (Mat. 28:19) and worshiping the Lord in unity with them.
