October 1 Scripture Selection: Isaiah 16-18

Food for Thought: Is. 16:1-7

Proud people, those who will not heed warnings, eventually end up fallen and devastated. As Proverbs 16:18 says, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” It’s not as if it pleases the Lord to see them suffer; He always sends out admonitions—many of them, and by many different means—and He urges them to listen.

Moab, like other nations, was urged to make changes for their own good. If not, their daughters would end up like “a wandering bird thrown out of the nest,” and their people would become destitute. Their pride would cause serious repercussions for themselves and their descendants. How true this is even today! When one choses to live in rebellion, it causes harm not only to oneself, but also is detrimental to the loved ones.

Now is the time to take note of the godly counsel and make decisions accordingly! I Peter 5:5-7 says, “… Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’ Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time…” James 4:10 has a similar message: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”

The Lord promises much better results as you humble yourself before Him, allowing Him to lead you, but they will not turn out well for the defiant rebellious. Those who reject Jesus as Lord and Savior, especially when they go before the One Who sits on the throne “judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness (vs. 5),” will find that it would have been infinitely better to submit to the One Who loves them and has had only their best interest in mind all along as they experience first-hand the irreversible consequences for not having heeded the pleas of the the Lord and His people.

  1. Thank you.
Many was the time when my Wife and I be out with a group
of people and I would be running my mouth, she would give me
the ‘old elbow’ in the side and say to me PGBF. Of course I
    would thank her.

“The Lord promises much better results as you humble yourself before Him,”

    Mr Job would prolly agree;

Never pray for God to make you humble or patient. -kim

  3. omanuel says:

Arrogance and lack of humility will lead to a worldwide crash . . .

if the trajectory locked in place in AUG-SEPT 1945 was aimed at:

    _ a.) A one-world, totalitarian government, in violation of

_ b.) The public right to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness

    • DirkH says:

      Author makes a mistake:
“The machine will resist your “reform” to the death because should you succeed, the machine will implode.”

The machine is already imploding. Let me draw an analogy to my car, a 15 year old VW Polo, which I call “Kleine Zicke”, which is German for Little Bitch:
A new car consists of lots of subsystem that smoothly work together.
My old car consists of lots of subsystems that fight each other violently when given the chance.

Why is that so? Switching back to the US state again:
In every large organisation, subgroups form that specialize not on excelling in functionality, but in playing the rules to their advantage. I see this in old large corporations from the inside, and I recognize it in our state structures. These parasitic subgroups excel in allocating the limited resources of the host organization largely to themselves. Warmunism is a splendid example: The warmunists started to pose as scientists in the 1970ies, led by Schneider, their TV guru, supported by TV Guru Sagan – who used fraudulent computer models for his ridiculous nuclear winter scam. Still believed by Green-Leftists BTW. Over time, warmunists managed to allocate ALL climate research money to themselves. The bigbangers snatched all the cosmology money. The Kopenhagen-Bohrists managed to monopolize quantum theory money. and so on.

In the case of the US empire power structure: This structure has also been entirely consumed by one or several parasitic groups, defeating the very functioning of the entire system. The Bush-Clinton clan is one. (They’re friends and they collaborate.) At this point, a large organisation is so paralyzed that it accelerates while heading towards a cliff, incapable of turning course. Reaction time is measured in decades in this stage of paralysis.

To stop it from going full speed over the cliff, a military putsch or foreign takeover are the only options at this point. (In corporations, the equivalent would be a total exchange of management or a takeover by a corporation that is still capable of functioning.)

Together with the zombie Empire USA, there are hosts of zombie companies – kept alive only by ZIRP and even that now barely so – GM being the prime example. We saw that in Japan since the 90ies. The zombies are now starting to fall apart. I am at the very moment working inside such a disintegrating zombie, a Canadian one. Germany has some zombies of its own of course, the largest one being the Deutsche Bank. But the German political system itself is also terminally zombiefied, and all Bundestag Parties form one big parasite.

The prescription for Germany is the same as for the US. What was it with the tree of liberty that needs to be refreshed from time to time? Somebody knew a thing about this. Jefferson?

      • DirkH says:

The parasite WANTS the host org to be paralyzed, as he has learned to exploit the host as it is. A change would be bad for the parasite; any reform threatens its success. Even when the parasite gains full control, he cannot revive the functionality of the host – as his skill set is not BEING the host, but EXPLOITING this particular host.

If worms manage to eat your entire heart, there is still tissue where your heart was – worm tissue. It won’t pump your blood, though.
