Well, I, for one, have had it with this stupidity! I simply can’t fathom the lack of ability to think beyond the surface of an issue! I honestly don’t believe the people who spew such nonsense, and president Zero, who I will quote, shortly, have even a good grasp of two dimensions. They can’t! They’re simply too simplistic!
This whole anti-immigrant sentiment that’s out there in our politics right now is contrary to who we are. Because unless you are a Native American, your family came from someplace else. Don’t pretend that somehow 100 years ago the immigration process was all smooth and strict. That’s not how it worked. …
When I hear folks talking as if somehow these kids are different from my kids or less worthy in the eyes of God, that somehow they are less worthy of our respect and consideration and care, I think that’s un-American.
REALITY CHECK!!!!!!! Guess what native Americans didn’t have? They didn’t have immigration or border control!!!!!!
Now, even a second order thinker would understand this is cause to pause and consider the apparent advocacy of this idiocy! How stupid can people be by criticizing people with a different perspective with this obvious example as to why we should control our immigration and borders? Want your own “trail of tears”? Want to lose your land and be herded onto reservations? (For the ones not killed fighting.) Well, you too, can have all of this and more! All you have to do is not secure our borders and not control immigration.
Now, there’s much more to the idiocy spewed. I think ….. well, no, I know, the other aspects of this idiocy is simply a cynical and sinister effort to lie to the American people and to disparage and derogate fellow American citizens. It’s despicable, and should not be tolerated by any American.
ANOTHER REALITY CHECK!!!!! I’ve never once met a person against immigration. Not one, not once. People against immigration exist every bit as much as unicorns and bigfoot. I’ve met people who are against certain types of immigrants and certain forms of immigration. But, I’ve never met a person wholly and entirely against any form of immigration. They simply don’t exist.
OBAMA’s ABSURDITY!!!!!!! Let me quote this bastard one more time ….. “When I hear folks talking as if somehow these kids are different from my kids or less worthy in the eyes of God” ……
I challenge any and all to find some sort of quote by anyone in the political or public arena who said anything close to what Obama supposedly paraphrased. I don’t know what galls me more: That Obama babbled such nonsense, or, that he wasn’t called out about this obvious lie. No one said immigrant children are “less worthy in the eyes of God”! No one implied it, no one intimated it, no one stated it.
Now that we’ve cleared that up. Let me clearly state my positions.
I’m pro-immigration. It needs to legal, it needs to be orderly, and we need, as a nation, to be able to stop the people at our borders who seek to harm our society, our people, our nation.
Immigrants to our nation, the US, should be able to provide for themselves. I think by any rational person’s standards, we have enough welfare recipients, already. We really don’t need to import more of them. As a nation, we can’t pay our bills, as it is. It’s senseless to invite more burdens. We need to be able to take care of our own before we seek to take care of someone else.
Immigrants to our nation should have demonstrable skills we have a demonstrable need for. Again, the fact is, we have enough low wage competitors, today. I’ll try to type slow for the “first order thinkers”. The …. more …. workers …. you … have …. the …. lower …. the …. wages …. will …. be. Competition for jobs means the employers never have to raise the starting wage. Which means, more and more people have to be welfare recipients in one form or another.
It should go without saying, but, oddly, I feel it needs stated ….. if we control who can and who cannot come here, we can keep out undesirables, such as the ones referenced in the recent spat of news stories about repeat felons, repeatedly violating our border, with impunity, only to be here to commit more felonies to include murders of innocent people. Personally, I see absolutely no reason to deport illegal immigrant felons. It’s a waste of time and energy and money. They’ll be right back. Until we secure our borders, such deportation is pointless.
Lastly, I’ll state this, but, there’s much, much more to state …… again, this is apparently beyond the first order thinkers, but, it occurs to the rest of us that if we can’t stop repeat felons from re-entering our nation, then, we can’t stop terrorists from entering our nation, as well. Indeed, we know they’re already here. I think waiting for them to apply for flying lessons is a bit too late in an effort to keep our people secure <—- you know, that arcane requirement of the US Constitution.
Again, there’s much, much, more to say and discuss on these issues, but, I leave it in the comments.
