Well, once again, we see we’re almost out of time to confront global warming/climate change. We’ve been told this over decades. I don’t know when we’ll actually be out of time, but, I think it will a time considerably longer out than when most of us realize these bastards are only playing the common idiot for more money and power.
As I watch this unfold, it’s fantastically incredible! No one can possibly believe these lunatics!
So, today, president Zero tells us we’re almost out of time ….. as all the other climate loons have been telling us over the years.
President Obama made an ever-more-urgent plea for nations to take action to address climate change Monday, repeatedly telling representatives of Arctic nations meeting in Alaska that “we’re not moving fast enough” to address the challenge.
Kicking off a three-day Alaska trip meant to focus attention on how the Arctic climate affects the rest of the world, Obama used near apocalyptic imagery to drive home his call to action. The result of inaction will be catastrophic in economic and security terms, he said, as more drought, wildfires, floods, leads to more refugees, more conflict and scarce resources.
In Alaska, he said, raging wildfires are helping to thaw the permafrost, releasing carbon dioxide trapped underneath into the atmosphere — “a negative feedback loop, a cycle, warming leading to more warming, that we don’t want to be a part of,” Obama said.
“On this issue — of all issues —there is such a thing as being too late,” Obama said. “And that moment is almost upon us.” He called on nations to make commitments to reduce carbon emissions at a climate summit later this year. “This year in Paris has to be the year that the world finally acts to protect the one planet that we have while we still can,” he said.
As he has done over the past week, Obama also escalated his criticism of “people who are denying the science of climate change.“
Heh!!!! Oh, yes, you moron, I’ll get to that in a moment, but, for now, let’s see what the people who finance your idiotic “science” are doing ……
A millionaire environmentalist is buying into coal with a twist he believes can turn the beleaguered black fossil fuel at least partially green.
Tom Clarke, who made a fortune in health care, recently announced a plan to buy bankrupt St. Louis-based Patriot Coal for $400 million, following a major investment in coal by the billionaire liberal activist George Soros. But Clarke said he is not simply bargain-shopping in an industry wounded by federal policies and the emergence of American oil and gas. He said he is looking to transform the industry, and intends to sell his coal at a 10 percent premium — which he will then spend on planting trees. …..
So, these $billionaires, assuming Clarke didn’t sink all of his fortune in this scheme … are betting on, and hoping for a return to coal, and will benefit beyond imagination if it does. This is after they so vehemently attacked coal, funding faux studies, and groups, and advocates.
Soros, who has demonized fossil fuels for years through his think tanks and political contributions, recently snapped up 1 million shares of Peabody and half a million shares of Arch Coal, giving him significant stakes in what’s left of the U.S. coal industry. His company purchased 553,200 shares of Arch Coal for $188,000 and made an investment of $2,254,000 into Peabody Energy for 1,029,400 shares.
The trades would have cost Soros a lot more six years ago, when Peabody, which trades under the symbol BTU, was at about $90 a share, but shares have now fallen to around $1, in large part, critics say, because of Obama’s pronouncement in 2008 that energy investors can build coal-fired power plants, but his administration will shut them down.
I hope it paid well, you assholes!
In the meantime …..
While visiting Alaska and becoming the first American president to enter the Arctic Circle, President Obama announced Tuesday he would speed up the acquisition of icebreakers to help the U.S. Coast Guard navigate an area that Russia and China increasingly see as a new frontier.
The announcement is the latest power play in the Arctic north, where melting ice has led to a race for resources and access.
Forty percent of the world’s oil and natural gas reserves lie under the Arctic. Melting ice also would lead to new shipping routes, and Russia wants to establish a kind of Suez Canal which it controls. More than a Cold War, Russia may be preparing for an Ice War, and the Pentagon is taking note. …..
Yeh, that’s about right. We need more icebreakers in a place where people, such as Obama, fervently believe the ice is going to melt. …… because we have to protect our right to exploit the oil and gas there, which causes the ice to melt …. because we’re almost out of time …..
That’s as stupid as the “tree scheme”. The tree scheme is abject stupidity! Yes, the trees intake CO2 and release O2. Let’s think about that for a second. …. for bright people, a second is all you need! Well, for people of average intelligence, that’s all you need! What happens to the “C” in the CO2 formula? Well, golly! It becomes part of the tree!!!!! It’s a “carbon-based” life-form!!!!!! What happens to the carbon when the tree dies or is burnt? ….. Uhmm……???????
Well, burning is the quickest way to create CO2. But, decay of the tree, which is inevitable, puts that carbon out there to bond with the O2 the tree made!!!! We call this gay and incestial marriage, carbon dioxide!!!!! Better known as CO2! SOB!!!!! No one can be this abjectly and objectively stupid!!!! Trees are a reservoir of CO2!!!! They are banks for CO2!!!! The CO2 doesn’t go away because the carbon can’t go away, and neither can the oxygen! All planting trees do is delay some atmospheric CO2. The more trees, the more the decay and burning of trees will occur (through forest fires and whatnot). The more decay and burning of trees occurs the more atmospheric CO2 accelerates!!!! It’s not that hard to understand!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for trees! I love them! ….. Well, not in the lunatic environmentalist manner, that’s beyond the pale. But, I think they’re cool things to have around us(the trees, not the lunatic environmentalists!!). But, over time, they are net neutral towards atmospheric CO2. (both the trees and the lunatic environmentalists!!!!)
From the earth we came, and back to the earth we go. And, then tomorrow, from the earth they came, and back to the earth they go. There’s no getting around this! We’ve the elements we have!
