Well, I’m not sure of the Nazi percentage in 1940 noted in the tweet, but, it was certainly was less than that number in the late 20s. Still, it’s a reasonable analogy.
Probably a better analogy would be that as the NAZI ascent was occurring, many people who voted for the NAZI party were well meaning and peaceful people. Much of the same is said for Muslims around the world. Not everyone who initially supported Hitler were demonic bastards looking to kill Jews, Blacks, and start a world war. Indeed, if Hitler had been honest, he would have never succeeded in gaining power.
And, this is the warning which is the message of the Tweet. I don’t give a damn that only 5%-10% of Muslims are radical lunatics. They are growing in power and numbers, and, like Hilter, they’re killing the Muslims who do not agree with their views. In my understanding of the doctrine of Islam, it is the doctrine which allows this to happen.
