Yeh, But, Shannon Sharpe, You’ll Still Be An Imbecile! Music Post Bonus!

So, American Footballer, Tim Tebow, famous for his unashamed Christianity, among many other things, returned to the NFL this year.  He recently played in a pre-season exhibition game.  As always with Tebow, the reviews were mixed.  I didn’t watch the game, but, I did watch most of the plays in which Tebow was involved in.  I’ve read, with interest, the reviews and the descriptions of the plays.  In my estimation, the boy looked good!  Not only did he stay true to form in the competitive nature he has, but, he’s also eliminated his little quirk in his throwing motion!  Yes, he missed some targets, but, he delivered some spot on throws, as well.  He took a big loss from a sack in which he should have thrown the ball way, but, he also ran for a touchdown in a fine QB run.  But, that’s always how it’s been with Tebow.  All in all, Tebow looked ready to play!

Apparently, Shannon Sharpe saw this, as well, which prompted him to tweet this ….

Oh!!!  Well, that’s different!!!  So, those were just a bunch of schmucks lining up against Tebow!!!  No wonder he looked good! ……..  Except, wait!!!  Uhmm …..  Shannon, where will be the people who lined up with Tebow be in “2 wks”?

Tebow’s team was the same quality as the people lined up against him …. perhaps worse in that Tebow had to run for his life on several plays.

Let me say this clearly.  I surely do love Tebow’s proud Christianity.  We should all be that visibly unabashed!  But, that’s probably not why I root for Tebow.  I root for him because he loves the game.  He’s a winner.  He’s unorthodox!(towards the game).  Heisman trophy winner, collegiate national champion, the QB at the helm when the Denver Broncos returned to the playoffs and won a playoff game!  None of these things can Sharpe take away from Tebow’s accomplishments.

Shannon Sharpe is just one of the many haters.  Why?  Because of Tebow’s unashamed Christianity.  ….. and, Tebow wins.  They hate that!  Why does an old has-been try to begrudge others?

Shannon, get off of my cloud!

The wiki writeup on Tebow is fascinating:

“In 1985, the family moved to the Philippines where they served as Baptist missionaries and built a ministry.[17] Prior to becoming pregnant with Tim, his mother contracted amoebic dysentery and fell into a coma. She discovered she was pregnant while recovering. Because of the medications used to treat her, the fetus experienced a severe placental abruption.[17] Doctors expected a stillbirth and recommended an abortion. The Tebows decided against it citing their strong faith (abortion was illegal in the Philippines in any case). On August 14, 1987, she gave birth to Tim in Manila.[17]”

He currently goes under the name of Winfried Kretschmann and acts as the prime minister of Baden Württemberg. And he’s a Green! I’m cracking myself up. (Oh and Baden-Württemberg is going down the tubes. Fast. Well Duh.)

Yes, it’s incredible to watch people so willingly destroy their own society. And the one they seem to be opting for is even more mind-boggling.

I haven’t had a chance to see Tim Tebow in action as those games haven’t made it to the free to air channel I see NFL on. But I do like the preseason since it lets the up-and-comers try out and gain experience. Then the scouts see them and if they don’t make the cut for the championship season with that team another team may make them an offer.
