Un-Effing Believable!!!!! Newsweek Attacks POW/MIA Flag!!!!!

I don’t have words, just outrage.

It’s Time to Haul Down Another Flag of Racist Hate

You know that racist flag? The one that supposedly honors history but actually spreads a pernicious myth? And is useful only to venal right-wing politicians who wish to exploit hatred by calling it heritage? It’s past time to pull it down.

Oh, wait. You thought I was referring to the Confederate flag. Actually, I’m talking about the POW/MIA flag.

I told the story in the first chapter of my 2014 book The Invisible Bridge: The Fall of Nixon and the Rise of Reagan: how Richard Nixon invented the cult of the “POW/MIA” in order to justify the carnage in Vietnam in a way that rendered the United States as its sole victim. …..

Well, I don’t have words, but, a commentator to the story does…..

Scott Schlitz ·Bartlett, Illinois

Just another angry leftist eunuch. Any time the courage of real men is commorated it reminds him of his cowardice and inadequacy as a man….and there is nothing more important to a Progessive than his delicate self-esteem.

The POW/MIA flag is, indeed, a symbol.  By now, if there were remaining POWs, they’re all most certainly dead by now.  There are still many MIAs there, who are all most certainly dead by now.  It is a symbol, but, it has absolutely nothing to do with race or racism.

What the banner is about is an affirmation of commitment.  All wars produce people unaccounted for.  It is our commitment that we won’t forget their commitment.

It is by the grace of God that my dad wasn’t one of the people represented by that banner.

And they’re changing history. It was Johnson’s incompetently run war. Nixon just cleaned it up until the leftards forced him to resign. After they got rid of Nixon, the Democrats defunded any further attempt to protect South Vietnam from the North. The US military was winning the war until Walter Cronkite, Ted Kennedy, and the rest of the leftards guaranteed our loss.

My brother and I each had POW/MIA bracelets when we were kids. My soldier never made it home. I wore that bracelet so long that it finally broke in the middle, and I taped it back together and kept wearing it. Finally my mom convinced me to pack it away, explaining that some soldiers never make it back.

Even if we cannot remember their names, we should still remember their sacrifice, and remember that they never came home. It is the very least that we can do.

As a VN vet, I have mixed feelings about this flag.

When flown by civilians or veterans organizations I see it as a sign of tribute.
When flown at a government facility, I see it as a sign of hypocrisy. The government
had it’s chance to do something about POW/MIAs and thanks largely to McVain and Kerry
    chose to ignore the issue.

The term frequently used is Cultural Marxism
What is the goal of the Marxist Revolutionary? To turn the world on it’s head, to heat it in the flames of chaos and remold it to his heart’s desire through community organizing, subterfuge and violent conflict.
