Gutfeld Gets It Horribly Wrong! Badmouths Rush When Rush Is 100% Correct!

Well, I call it out as it is.  I like Gutfeld.  He’s a great wit and usually spot on in his commentary.  But, I’ll still call them out when their wrong.

So, we see this ……

Fox News Channel host Greg Gutfeld argued that Rush Limbaugh’s claim that the American flag will be the next flag to come under assault from the left was an “absurd,” “fear tactic” akin to people on the left saying “They’re going to take away my birth control pills” on Wednesday’s broadcast of “The Five.”

Earlier in the segment, Gutfeld said that while a lot people are legitimately made uncomfortable with the Confederate flag, there are “a lot of people who are preoccupied with shaming the past.” He added that while the left “foments division,” a Confederate flag “in a state setting” is “equally as divisive” and makes people “genuinely uncomfortable.”

Gutfeld continued that removing the flag won’t create unity because “it’s part of a constant outrage that will never be sated.” Although, he pointed out, “Maybe it’ll make some people happy, and maybe it’s the right thing to do.”

After hearing a clip of Rush Limbaugh arguing that “The next flag that will come under assault and it will not be long is the American flag,” Gutfeld responded, “to me, this is absurd. And I think this is where the left and the right often mirror each other. ‘They’re going to take our flags’ is like a leftist saying, ‘They’re going to take my birth control pills.’ It’s a fear tactic.” Gutfeld further stated that he believed Rush and others were seeing that there “seems to be a crusade against our common past” and incorrectly extrapolating attacks on the Confederate flag to the American flag.

Now mind you, I haven’t listened to Rush for years.  He’s usually right on most issues, wrong on others, but, most often when he’s pontificating on one subject or another, I’ve already thought it, so ….

Honestly, I don’t know where either one of these guys have been.  The American flag, in the US, is under constant and progressive attacks by the left.  It is not absurd to know there are people in the US actively working to ban the flying of the US flag.  We’ve seen it time and again.  From idiotic apartment complexes, to gated communities, to American campuses, where the US flag is seen as a symbol of oppression, all across this land the US flag is being ripped from us.  So, even to say the US flag is next, is in error, the effort has been underway for many years, now.

But, getting back to what Gutfeld had to say, about how it’s absurd to believe the left is wanting to take our US flag, we also see this, today ……

The Purge–Farrakhan: ‘We Need to Put the American Flag Down’…

Yeh, Greg, no way they’d ever come after the US flag, amirite?  Love the guy’s work, but, today, he was a moron.

    a) Gutfeld is after all a Murdock employee. Murdock is a CFR member.
    b) The Streams Have Been Crossed / hell froze over: CNN interviews a sane person.

Holy crap!!!! What were the leftards of CNN thinking!?!?!?!?

    • gator69 says:

The woman obviously does not know that many blacks in the South owned slaves, and fought for for the Confederacy in order to keep them. Slavery is not a racial issue.

      • DirkH says:

I would think that most who fought for the Confederacy did so to protect their home and family from an invasion by an overpowering attacking force from outside.

Before the war, the Yankees attempted several times to institute protectionist tariffs that would have profited the industries of the North but would have bankrupted the South. The Morrill tariff for instance, just one of them. So the Southerners already knew what the North planned, total domination, slaves or not.

        • gator69 says:

True. But the war between North and South began at our founding, it just did not spill blood until much later. The South wanted to count slaves for seats in the House, and the North argued that since slaves were property, they should have no more representaion than a chair. This is where the Three-fifths Compromise comes from, the North was trying to limt the power of the South, in an effort to eventually bring about the end of slavery. It was a bitter partnership for many reasons.

Good comment on Charleston shooting, including some numbers on black on white vs white on black crime in US.

    • gator69 says:

This is exactly what I have been saying. If as a society, we were allowed to discuss the reality of racial crime statistics, there is a chance this heinous crime would never have happened. From reading Roof’s “manifesto”, it is abundantly clear that he was frustrated by the censorship in the media and our culture regarding black on white crimes. He was a timebomb looking for a trigger, and he found one, thanks to our PC culture.

And as an aside, a huge portion of inner city crimes go unreported, thanks to the “snitches get stitches” urban code. I know this from first hand experience working in “the hood”, and from working with urbanites for many years. If all urban crimes were reported, the statistics would be even more damning than they already are.

Until we are allowed to talk about this, it will only get worse. The first step toward a solution, is always admitting that we have a problem.

      • DirkH says:

Same thing here; lots of things going on in the Muslim ghettos are regulated either by street justice or by illegally operating Sharia courts in the “culture club” homes of the respective nationality and never surface in crime statistics.

The official omitting of ethnicity / “religion” in the crime stats would in science be called an Omitted Variable Fraud, disabling the researcher from finding the correct causal link.

So when I for instance read, 20% of German kids have psych issues, I gotta think WHICH kids, and what goes for German these days, all the reports are rubbish because of the omitted variable fraud. BTW this is the left reporting, the left that so hollers about their believe in science when it comes to Global Warming; they’re really getting stupider than illiterate farmworkers 100 years back it seems. No common sense left.

My maternal grandfather became the vice president of a large bank with an 8th grade education. He grew up barefoot in the mountains of north Georgia. But back then an 8th grade education was better than a high school diploma today. So yes, I would also rate farmworkers from 100 years ago as smarter than the average person today. Back then stupid people starved.
