Climate Disruption Clearly Altering Global Crop Production!!!!

Well, we’re told Global Warming/Climate Change/Climate Disruption was to kill all of our crops and cause famine and death world wide.

But, is that true?

We’re told the industrialization of the world causes the atmospheric increase of CO2 which cause the world to hot, and, thus, causes floods, famines, and other disastrous things!

The industrialization of the world has been going on for centuries, but, it’s greatest progress has come within the last 50 years or so.  So, how has the last 50 years or so turned out for our global crop production?  I can’t show all of the crop categories on a graph, so, I’ll just show the top five in terms of tonnes, since 1961 ….

Weird!!!  It turns out the lunatics don’t know wtf they’re talking about!  Look at us go!!!!

Now, in the past, there have been some doltish clods insist this isn’t growing as fast as the world population is growing.  Also, I recognize that in the 60s and 70s the clownish environ “scientists” were much more concerned with the cooling which was imagined to be occurring rather than the warming, which is imagined, today.  So, let’s look at the total global food production and the total world population since the time of the early dawn of this most recent climate extremist alarmism …. 1984.

2013 is the latest FAOSTAT has for the crop numbers, which is the source for the crops and population on the graphs.  Given the huge bumper crop, last year, in the US, I would suspect we’re even closer to breaking the barrier.  We are, indeed, producing more crops than the population is growing.  In spite of this wondrous success, the population growth is ebbing, as us rational people knew it would, and will continue to ebb as long as industrialization continues.

  1. cdquarles says:

More people produce more food. More food produces more people. People are the ultimate resource. Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth. Don’t be fruitful and multiply and watch yourself get replaced by those who do.

  2. HankH says:

It’s a darn good thing that we’re interrupting the climate (supposition, of course) else there would be a lot more people starving.

All joking aside… what cdquarles said = +10
