    Neither will the Polar Bears!!!

In any noisy dataset, it is always possible to generate a flat trendline with cherry-picked endpoints. I’m surprised you didn’t work just a little harder and invent one that sloped upward. That’s each easier to do.

In fact, let me recommend that you take the cherry-picked beginning point from the subset you found in your post from 2013. At that time, you were implying there had been a flat trendline beginning in 2004 and running to 2013. That trendline was lower than this one (there was less ice then), so you can start a new trendline at the lower point in 2004, and make it slope upward. I’ve linked your previous post below for your convenience.

Unless, of course, you are trying to imply that someone went back in time and filled in the ice between 2004 and 2013. If that isn’t what happened, it means that global ice loss is a chaotic process, and the global ice level sometimes goes up, and sometimes goes down — but has a longer long-term trend that you are here trying to deny or to hide. IN fact, you took advantage of the idea of a longer long-term trend in writing this post as opposed to your previous one.

Your previous post — which admits ice used to be lower than the :flat” trendline you are pushing today — is here: https://suyts.wordpress.com/2013/10/08/the-positive-feedback-loop-that-wasnt-global-sea-ice-anomaly-over-the-last-nine-years-a-trip-down-memory-lane/

That post combined with this one has the unfortunate feature of proving the real trendline is longer than either of these posts admit.

Dc, you’ve entirely missed the point of both posts. As it is a noisy data set, it isn’t a question as to whether or not at one point there was more or less ice. Yes, at one point there was more ice. And, yes, I could have easily shown an incline. All ice graphs from everyone are cherry-picked. But, none of that changes the fact that global sea ice hasn’t diminished since the turn of the century. This entirely destroys one of the cornerstones of alarmist bs —- see the post you linked.

Sorry about the wait in moderation, I’ve been a bit busy lately. You’re now approved for commenting.

dc….you start from now..and go backward

That leftist witchhunt shows that Western science has become political theatre. All based on totally UNJUSTIFIABLE computer models. Not that a lot of mathematicians, physicists or computer scientists see through the smoke and mirrors. Most of them are as gullible as the average Joe, I have the feeling that degrees in the “hard” sciences are these days not correlating to the ability to think logically anymore, at least here in Germany – I do lambast every hard science guy I meet and I meet a lot with some probing questions and most of them believe the MSM, it’s embarassing on one hand and encouraging on the other because in the land of the blind the one-eyed is king, so it gives me a lot of confidence that I’m surrounded by halfwits with diplomas… and I’m not even talking about lib arts types…
