From the WTF department …….
White House calls Yemen ‘model’ for ISIS fight, as security deteriorates
The White House insisted Monday that the U.S. counterterrorism strategy in Yemen is a model for the fight against the Islamic State — despite the country being engulfed by a violent political crisis that last week led the Obama administration to remove some of its diplomats and urge American citizens to leave.
The developments — including the firing of a rocket near the U.S. Embassy in the country’s capital over the weekend — again have raised questions about President Obama’s plan for targeting Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria. …..
There’s more to read at the link, but, yeh, Yemen is a model for something. This idiocy wears me out.
A State Department aide acknowledged the attack but said there was “no indication” the U.S. Embassy was targeted.
The department meanwhile said that in light of violence against the Yemeni government, the United States is “stepping up efforts” to pursue sanctions against the perpetrators.

Very sad. I wonder what “cause” will be determined?
lithium
Gas leaked from the fill tube and fell on hot exhaust pipes!
Really? Now that’s stupid.
Some people just do not pay attention to filling their cars with fuel. Many people start the process and walk away, not thinking about consequences. The leading cause of fires at gas stations is static sparks because of static build up in cloths by walking away and not holding onto the fill handle during fill-up.
Oh! I didn’t think of that, but makes sense.
Since when is there a strategy in Yemen?
This strategy:
Yep 😆
Yemen is already a powder-keg of unrest with many small embers and fires around it. Just a look at the reports from the region which show that it’s sliding into a more unstable situation – even after the three-year US$552.9m Extended Credit Facility, and loans from Arab Monetary Fund Sanaa that it wanted – it is has starvation, civil unrest with violent protest, Al Qaeda recruiting, etc.
Strategy?
