Here’s a pattern I’ve noticed: some security screw-up happens. Agency in charge says “Not our fault, we need more power! New policies!”

Chris Hayes, of course, is Rachel Maddows alternate male ego on MSNBC, about as leftarded as one gets.  There were a couple of notable Tweets in response…..

Please tell me more. No conservative or libertarian has made this observation, except everyday for a century or so https://mobile.twitter.com/chrislhayes/status/516723804567904256 …

Indeed, Jonah, indeed.

It is the leftards’ willful ignorance which harms this nation in a most profound manner.

@nancypelosi, while you sit idle, the GOP agenda of keeping roast beef out of my mouth is succeeding. Send $20.”

It gives liberals incentive to screw up. Clinton was upset that 9-11 did not happen on his watch- so he could have removed more freedoms. Thanks to Jumpin Jim Jeffords, it has a different name on the bill.

Here’s an affirming article about what I have been saying for a long time – http://www.networkworld.com/article/2687994/lan-wan/comcasts-latest-comments-on-twc-merger-show-near-total-divorce-from-reality.html?source=NWWNLE_nlt_wan_2014-09-30#tk.rss_lanwan

    The money quote:

The only reason Comcast survives is that it has been skillful in exploiting a regulatory environment that has been in dire need of an update for decades

You have a kind of federal post office for broadband service? Now that’s funny.

      • philjourdan says:

No, just the FCC – which has no authority. This is all local originated. But the local authorities like it due to bribery. It is in essence, a legal monopoly. That is regulated by thousands of small governments. But only in so far as they get what they want.

Too much ideology of any kind will always be harmful. While I might subscribe that some method in government might theoretically be better at heart I am somewhere between Libertarian and Conservative. There are those in Australia who call themselves Libertarian and profess the good things about the US. Now while in theory some of these things might be good I am evidence based. A good example is how there are some who suggest that the US health system is good. Now in Australia we have a more universal public health system and the taxes to pay for health are lower so simply put, you want to tax me more, not good. No Australian is prevented from obtaining US health insurance should they wish unless the US prevents it. Being a large country you will have many more hospitals that can be considered the best when compared to Australia. If this was not the case then it would be rather surprising.

Same can be said for your tax system. In theory having more power for the states to tax might be better but in reality it has lead to higher taxes, not good.
