Now, Underwear Is Racist ……

Bras Are Now Racist Because They Come in ‘Nude’
A college-paper editorial board declares bras and Band-Aids an example of white privilege.

The editorial board of a college newspaper has declared that bras are racist because they come in colors named “nude,” since non-white people’s skin isn’t that color when they’re nude.

“How would it make you feel that the fashion industry and society at large has based its ideal of nude on Caucasian people? That the color of your skin doesn’t count as ‘nude’?” asks the staff editorial, published by the Oklahoma Daily, the official newspaper of the University of Oklahoma.

The board used the same reasoning to conclude that that “nude” makeup, “flesh-colored” clothing, and Band-Aids were also racist.

The piece referred to the bra color name as one of the “subtle examples of racism” — often referred to as a “microaggression” — that apparently runs rampant in our society today.

The board apparently intended to use the piece as a way to encourage Americans to fight against this injustice.

“We encourage all of our readers to think critically about the small instances of racial bias they encounter each and every day,” the editorial said.

Time for that annoying little kid, again!

The garbage people obsess about.  You know, I don’t think anyone knows who came up with the name for the color “nude”.  But, apparently, it worked, because it became well-adopted.  Is it bias that much of the people in the fashion industry catered to Caucasians because that’s who was buying their stuff?

If this is the crap we have to worry about, then we don’t have any problems.

Racists, throughout history, have done untold harm to humanity. Now, the Immaturists want to see if they can top it.

If only racism were as simple as nude being light beige instead of dark beige — instead we have blatant species-ism. Shouldn’t “nude” equally represent all species? I think that having bras that came with fur would be only fair! In fact, why restrict bras to mammalian species? Why not bras with fish scales, or chicken feathers, insect chitin, or even bark and foliage? Same with Band-Aids!

How much longer can this Western, European, white privileged, male, racist, phallocentric, linear thinking, testosterone poisoned, patriarchal, unsustainable, capitalist, running dogs of Wall Street, sham of a culture continue?!

Sometimes its not racist. Sometimes it is a complete utter fashion design brain explosion:

On the other hand maybe they just wanted to increase their television ratings.

I do not care about the skin color. Seeing a “nude” bra on a woman is always a treat. 😉
