He Done Told You! ….. Jr. Was Right

Fox has this, but, it bears repeating.

Bush in 2007 delivered eerily accurate warning about Iraq unrest

A prophetic warning from then-President George W. Bush before he left office about what would happen if the U.S. withdrew troops from Iraq too soon is getting new attention in light of the Islamic State’s gains, as each of his predictions appears to be coming true.

Bush, as discussed on “The Kelly File,” made the remarks in the White House briefing room on July 12, 2007, as he argued against those who sought an immediate troop withdrawal.

“To begin withdrawing before our commanders tell us we are ready would be dangerous for Iraq, for the region and for the United States,” Bush cautioned.

He then ticked off a string of predictions about what would happen if the U.S. left too early.

“It would mean surrendering the future of Iraq to Al Qaeda.

“It would mean that we’d be risking mass killings on a horrific scale.

“It would mean we allow the terrorists to establish a safe haven in Iraq to replace the one they lost in Afghanistan.

“It would mean we’d be increasing the probability that American troops would have to return at some later date to confront an enemy that is even more dangerous.” ……

There’s more to read at the link.

Of course, this wasn’t a hard call for anyone other than a Dim, or an American hating bastard, but, then, I’m being redundant.  That isn’t to say there aren’t American hating Repubs, there clearly are.  But, Bush told us what would happen if we left Iraq too early.  He tried to tell the lunatics coming in.  But, immediate imagery is much more important to leftards than people.  It’s as simple as that.  Bush told us, and everyone else already knew these things.  But, leftards don’t care about such things like the protection of the American people.  Or, any people, for that matter.  It’s always ideology before people.

Yeah and to add to that we are trainning them, to go back later fighting them. Morons! I told my superiors about it, they just huffed and puffed and ignored me. It’s just like Obummer and anyone else that is arming them. It’s all the same.

It was stupid then, it is stupid now. It’s the reason I left the army.

Well an old first sergeant told me, “If it were only incompetence, they would occasionally make a mistake in our favor.”

He was specifically referring to congress and the pentagon, i.e. Eisenhower’s congressional-military-industrial complex.

        The chaos is 100% intentional.

        • cdquarles says:

The military-industrial complex I worry less about. The government-academic complex, I do worry much about. That complex breeds despotism. The so-called M-I complex is a tool in the despot’s hands.

Watch as the WH team turn this into “it’s all Bush’s fault” as they are busy rewriting history.

I also note Yemen is still bubbling chaos even with (because of ?) US and International Monetary Fund (IMF) help.

Nice recruiting sergeant for more ‘moderate’ Muslems to head north to Iraq and Syria, eh?

Bush, Palin, Cheney….All the ones the left loves to trash – are smarter than their smartest man in the world.

IN 2004 when they were calling Bush stupid, it was plain he was smarter than Kerry. So yea, liberals love to call themselves stupid.

Bush and his administrators and any Democrat who supported the Iraq invasion should be executed as a traitors. There was no reason to invade Iraq and nothing patriotic about supporting it.

Saddam was always ‘our boy’ and nothing was gained by invasion. The increased energy prices and broken lives of veterans are only part of the cost. I don’t respect either party, but I doubt another invasion or staying there would have really solved anything. Leaving Saddam there would have been the best option long term.

I like how it wasn’t a war a couple days ago:

Kerry: U.S. not at war with ISIS

    But today suddenly:

We Have Always Been at War With ISIL!

Could the administration be in any more disarray? After carefully avoiding any use of the word “war” in connection with its proposed operation against ISIL, and apparently having received more ridicule than it bargained for, administration spokesmen are now reversing course: it is a war after all!

This is what happens when you “govern” by lefty focus group.

    • DirkH says:

Technicalities; war is legally different from random dronings / CIA assassinations in the USA it seems. USA Entry into the war usually needs a false flag event (e.g. MH-17); for ISIS, maybe the Foley video suffices.

That’s why they tiptoe around the word war. They’re not sure the false flag material was efficient enough.

    • philjourdan says:

Political speech. Notice that the first is “ISIS”, and the second is “ISIL”. That is how he gets around lying.

It kinda sucks when the powers to be support independance on one area but then want to stop it in another. Either they support it or they don’t. I say free for all and let the chips fall where they may. Freedom right?

Spains collapse will be fun. A basque coworker told me, only the North of Spain works. Basque and Catalonia.
Both of them want out. And when the Basques see what the Catalans do they will not want to be left behind.

  12. DirkH says:

Two German states, Thueringen and Brandenburg, have voted.
In both states Euroskeptic AfD gained 10%+ after a barrage of negative propaganda by the Bloc media. People have decoupled from the mainstream media. Journalists now officially seen as negative indicators of truth.

Brandenburg still strongly socialist, will be ruled by coalition of Marxist/pro islamic SPD and “reform”-communists of the DDR “Die Linke”.
Thueringen would have the possibility of getting a (RINO)CDU + AfD coalition but RINO’s would love to continue their coalition with Marxist/pro islamic SPD.

At least the watermelons have lost relevance (though will be in both parliaments).
