IRS: Lerner’s hard drive was wiped clean in 2011
The IRS said under oath Friday that former agency official Lois Lerner’s hard drive was destroyed and recycled, echoing earlier testimony from its commissioner.
Yep, the old, well known, process of destroying a hard drive and then recycling it.
I”m a non-conformist. I never destroy my hard drive before I recycle it. But, that’s just me.

They were all destroyed, and then recycled.
The only thing they seem to be recycling is Bull Shit, It’s a never ending cycle let alone recycle.
IRS runs on one hard drive? They need to stop recycling that drive and buy another one.
Now, I’m not an attorney so I’ll defer to someone more knowledgeable on the subject but isn’t destroying hard drives containing evidence during an investigation called obstruction of justice or destruction of evidence or something sinister like that? I mean, if there were some legal case against my business and I started destroying hard drives and shredding books, they’d lock my butt up for a good long time.
I’ve recycled hard drives before but they were always serviceable. I guess you might call it re-purposing them.
