Pointless And Confusing Stupidity — Marvel Comics Giving Thor A Sex Change

image

From Fox …..

Thor is now a woman

Thor’s not a guy anymore.

Thor’s a gal.

Marvel Comics announced that their male hero of yore was no longer worthy to hold the mighty hammer Mjölnir.

(Bear with us.)

“The inscription on Thor’s hammer reads ‘Whosoever holds this hammer, if HE be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.’ Well it’s time to update that inscription,” said Marvel editor Wil Moss in a statement. “The new Thor continues Marvel’s proud tradition of strong female characters like Captain Marvel, Storm, Black Widow and more. And this new Thor isn’t a temporary female substitute – she’s now the one and only Thor, and she is worthy!”

Wait, there’s more.

“This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR,” said writer Jason Aaron. “This is the THOR of the Marvel Universe. But it’s unlike any Thor we’ve ever seen before.”

Thor will be Marvel’s eighth comic featuring a female in its leading role, which the publisher says “aims to speak directly to an audience that long was not the target for Super Hero comic books in America: women and girls.”

So watch your back, Captain America.

Look, it’s a comic book character, what’s the big deal, right?

I mean, other than the fact that these things are directed towards children, who have minds of mush waiting to be molded.

Here’s a line that bothers me.

“This is not She-Thor. This is not Lady Thor. This is not Thorita. This is THOR,” said writer Jason Aaron.

What Jason, apparently, doesn’t understand is that men and women are not interchangeable.  We may be congruent, but, we are not equal.  It has to be a “she-Thor”, else the writer won’t be writing about a person with female characteristics.

Further, this will be detrimental to actual learning.  For those who may not be familiar, Thor is a character in Norse mythology, from which the comic hero was derived.  Some may say, “so what?  That’s mythology.”  True, it is fiction, but, from studying various mythologies, one can tell much of the history and culture of past civilizations.  I view it a bit like a puzzle piece which takes some historical events into context, and causes some things to make sense, whereas without the knowledge of the particular mythology, it doesn’t make any sense.

My reading of Norse mythology, (though admittedly not my most studied mythology) was that the character “Thor” was very gender specific, and most decidedly male.

So, what Marvel Comics are doing is causing a potential retardation in a child’s learning because of this comic gender change.  Why?  Will this sell more comics?  I doubt it.  Though, again, admittedly, I haven’t seen the latest demographics of comic readers, I would imagine it’s mostly boys reading the Thor comic.  It’s just imbecilic political correctness run amok, molding the minds of our young in an errant fashion.

Probably not sell more comics. But may sell for a lot more in movie rights. Plus, a twist of the pen and he can be male again next year.

For now, She’ll probably destroy Hobby Lobby by Issue #3.

Wow, just when I thought the old cartoon characters were off limits by political correctness, along comes a girl named Thor. Next it will by Mickey.

Found a wonderful German blog, probably by a male lard ass government sociologist, masthead proclaims “The End Of Sex – Biological Sexes Are Made.”.
I encouraged him by proclaiming that sexes are an imperialistic lie.

Looks like an anticorrelation with liberalism.

One of the reasons I do not read comic books any longer. I wonder if Stan Lee Approves? Me thinks not.

😆 Makes ya wonder what these people are doing. I bet they wouldn’t do that crap to the god of the religeon of peace! The point is, what we call mythology today used to be a religeon, be it the Norse, the Greeks or the Romans.

    HA HA HA HA!

    Male ignorance about girls…. squared.

IF I did accept MSSS Thor as my action hero… some nerdy little boy will shoot me down. “Yeah! THOR used to be a guy…but they felt sorry for you girls and stole his maleness”.

How did Wonder Woman work out for you all?

    Bat Girl?

    She-Hulk?

    Xena?

    Who did they attract???

Guys that like girls kickin butt!

Quit trying to sell your sexist carp as being for the GIRLS!

Back when I was a boy, men were men and women were women, the same was true for superheroes and villains! The truth is this, comic books and the American entertainment industrial complex is run by lunatic, left-wing, secular social liberals and the LGBT mafia! This is simply more perverted, decadent, subversion and bastardization of popular culture, which has been going on for over forty years now! Comic books like professional wrestling was for entertaining boys, teenagers, and young men with big guys kicking butt and physically fit women in tight cloths as eye-candy! It is so sad how the world is going! Thor as a woman, uhhh! No!

Thor is not some 20th century creation, but a mythological character with over 2000 years of history. I am ok with Marvel making some other character into a girl or just writing up a new female superhero. But this is disrespectful to Stan Lee and a rich tradition from which the character arises. There are plenty of powerful women warriors in Norse mythology. Couldn’t the author have used one of those? Stupid politically correct post modern hipster BS!
