June 9 Scripture Selection: Luke 1:26-56

Food for Thought: Luke 1:37, 49, 50

Everyone of us will sooner or later face situations that seem impossible to resolve in the natural. But with God NOTHING shall be impossible. Every situation has a solution. Health conditions (including death!–People are still being raised from the dead!), financial crisis, broken relationships, wayward, lost loved ones—you name it, it is not at all impossible for the Creator of all things. In fact, it is a “piece of cake” for Him. He is mighty (full of might and power), and His mercy is on them that fear Him (reverence Him in faith, vs. 50).

Luke 18:27 reiterates that what is impossible for men is possible with God. So whatever “impossible” situation you may be facing today, please be reminded that God is still on the throne, and Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us (Heb. 7:25), and that we can “come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Heb. 4:16).”

Cast the care on Him (I Pet. 5:7) and give Him the opportunity to work on your behalf. Do as Mary did: acknowledge God’s power and great ability to work on your behalf. Focus on His greatness and not on the impossibility of the circumstances. Then wonderful things will happen.
