PARIS (AP) — French voters dealt a severe blow to the Socialist government in Sunday’s municipal elections, but the party saved face by retaining the crown jewel, Paris, which got its first female mayor.
The anti-immigration far right, which claims that France’s large Muslim population is “Islamicizing” the nation, made solid advances, fulfilling National Front promises to begin building a grassroots base.
Well, I don’t live in France, so I can’t say for sure whether or not there is a problem or if what I know about it is only a by-product of the news we see coming from France from time to time. From what I can see and read, there is a societal upheaval from Muslim immigrants who don’t wish to integrate. Apparently, to the AP, it’s an extreme “right” position to wish to protect your culture and society. ……. radicals, they are!!!

The French “far right” is very nationalistic. But not very fiscally conservative.
Heh. If that’s ‘far right’, I wonder where they’d place the countries most of them immigrated from.

Paris is surrounded by the Banlieus where the algerian and arab muslims live in 1960ies concrete blocks; no go areas for police.
You can now get begged or mugged in the centre of Paris by gipsies from Romania; that’s new. Used to be only the case in Rome in the 90ies; not in France.
Riots are since approx 2011 only reported as “youth riots”; before that the media were allowed to talk about the ethnicity of rioters; no longer legal in the EU. So, in the media there is NEVER a problem with Muslims, as they only report that “youth” did this or a “man” stabbed another “man”.

Marseilles at the mediterranean coast is principally a Muslim town these days. Integrate? They take social assistance thank you very much and otherwise live in their own society.

They’re right; as the Left would never protect their culture and society. The Left wants to bring about a new culture and society. They are therefore always in an unholy alliance with the Muslims.
Hollande only came to power due to the 3.5 million Muslim voters in France; without them he would have lost. Of course he knows this so he knows he has to give the unemployed Muslims goodies (loot).
