So, some jackass in NY’s administration has been carrying a gun in violation of the NY’s gun control laws.
Jerome Hauer, a top aide to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, appears to have regularly carried a firearm to work in violation of state law.
Hauer runs New York’s Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services. Cuomo, an advocate of ultra-strict gun control laws, appointed him to the job in 2011.
So, instead of holding these jackasses to a higher standard than the populace, they hold him to a lower one, and don’t prosecute his violation of their own laws. (Leftards believe laws for the little people and don’t apply to them.) But, that’s not surprising. They’re a bunch of corrupt SOBs who have little regard for the law and have no notion of the Constitutional mandate of applying the law equally to everyone.
Now, normally, for a regular citizen, I’m in favor not doing anything to the citizen and fight in court about the legality of the law. But, again, this is a jackass who thinks he’s above the law, and, apparently, the people of New York will allow him to be above the law. They like corrupt cleptocrats there. But, this case is even more special, because even if he was a private citizen, his actions, in my view, would mandate confiscating his weapon, and stripping him of his right to bear arms. Anyone who acted in this manner should lose their right to bear arms…… guess how people found out this jackass was carrying?
Hauer’s 9-millimeter Glock first came to the attention of local newspapers when he used the gun’s laser sighting attachment as a pointer during a meeting with a Swedish delegation. That event occurred last October at a State Police bunker, and was first reported by the Albany Times Union in January.
Officials at the meeting said “that three Swedish emergency managers in the delegation were rattled when the gun’s laser tracked across one of their heads before Hauer found the map of New York, at which he wanted to point,” according to the Times Union.
Are you serious??!??!?!?!? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?!??!?!? Well, yeh, I’d be a little rattled too, if I had some corrupt imbecile pointing a 9mm Glock at my head. The peckerhead needs his gun taken away!!!!! These are the same idiots who say “I thought the safety was on!!!” or, “but, I swear I emptied the chamber!!!!”
Guns are not f’n toys, and they’re definitely not f’n meeting pointers!!!!!
To the people of New York, this person, and his proven exercise of judgment is leading your “Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services”. Most of you probably absolutely do deserve a person just like him in all positions of responsibility and authority. But, visitors to your state probably do not. Please correct this or seal your borders to where visitors can’t get in and imbeciles like him and the people who protect and tolerate him can’t get out.
Thank you …… a concerned citizen of the Union.
Remember Morrisey. Waking an AR15 around with his finger on the trigger in the House of Delegates chamber!
The reason liberals think they need more gun laws is because they do not enforce the ones they have and are total incompetent idiots with anything dangerous!
Yep. It’s the clowns themselves which can’t be trusted with guns.
That is the one thing that illegitamizes the state…unequal application of the law. And here is one of my favs:
Yeh, I like that one …. but, at least that jack ass didn’t point the gun at anyone else.
Where’s my law-writing pen. Another reason to punish the responsible and law-abiding.

. . . when the gun’s laser tracked across one of their heads . . . .

Technically, that’s assault with a deadly weapon. If the weapon had fired accidentally (on purpose), it would be battery–whether or not the bullet hit anyone. At a minimum, it would be brandishing a weapon. Hey idiot–buy a stupid laser pointer–they aren’t expensive.

I agree that he should not be allowed to possess a gun. He proved his lack of competence.
He shouldn’t be allowed to possess shoelaces.
Simply astounding! 90% of liberals are afraid of guns. The other 10% are the reason why.
Speaking of laser pointers, there are apparently more laser pointers being pointed at aircraft (http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?id=9428230). I wonder what the political leanings of those people pointing the lasers are? I’m guessing they are mostly of a certain political bent, and it’s probably not conservative.
Jim
An excellent way of phrasing it.
And isn’t it so that such states punish violation of such laws with at least 5 years. Meaning, this boy is really mother’s finest isn’t he. The Dems are so far above the people, they go the full Animal Farm on them now. You elected us, you deserve us.
It was nigh impossible, and it took years, but Monbiot has indeed managed to sink to new lows. Glorifies jihadist suicide attackers as freedom fighters.

Well he idolizes Eric Blair, who fought for communism. it’s a very small step from there to the support of religious nuts so fanatical they eat the organs of their victims.
He is a nutter to behold. He also worships the GOD OF THE SOIL.

Hey that is actually a pretty cool essay. The thesis is a product of the western mental prison, and inconsistent with much historical evidence. It does have some explanatory power though, especially regarding the roots of said western mental prison; how we came to believe what we believe and where these beliefs came from.
If you look at the comments on the takfiri/jihadi idolising article, many people including those who normally agree with him, are criticising his opinion….that is a hopeful sign.
Oh dear. “To the people of New York, this person, and his proven exercise of judgment is leading your “Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services”. “
Such poor judgement, incredibly. As Dirk said above, the full Animal Farm behaviour.
Under our current political system, We The People have no direct authority to remove such ignorant and dangerous employees from office. I am not saying that he should be left in his position, only pointing out a weakness in the way our governments (state and federal) are structured. In most (not all) States and in the Federal government the only way to remove incompetents from power is by impeachment (for elected positions) or firing (for appointed positions) — but those things cannot be done by regular citizens, but only by the same politicians who caused the problem in the first place. Once a governmental system becomes overrun by idiots and liars, the only way to reboot the system is if the idiots and liars allow it to be done. And they will not willingly break their own rice bowl.
If I had a time machine, I would go back and talk to Madison about this…
Read Madison’ notes made during the Convention. They’re fascinating (as are the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist’s pamphlets). There’s a reason why George Mason’s ideas were added to the Article V amendment process.
Guns are not f’n toys, and they’re definitely not f’n meeting pointers!!!!!
Yep, you got that right, it’s a tool and like any tool, if you don’t use it for what it was ment to be used for, you’ll get bitten. In most cases the person using the tool gets bitten because of their stupidity, maybe this guy needs more than his weapons training looked at.
