AUTO WORKERS ON OBAMACARE: ‘WE’RE PISSED OFF’

Most of the 41 workers at Extreme Dodge in Jackson, Michigan say Obamacare is exploding their premiums and destroying health care as they once knew it.

“I feel like I’ve been taken to the cleaners,” salesman Neal Campbelltold NBC News senior investigative reporter Lisa Myers in a Sunday report. Campbell, who has a wife and three children, says Obamacare is breeding resentment and anger. “We feel betrayed, lied to, and we’re pissed off.”

“How is this helping the average American that’s working 40 to 50 hours per week?” asked salesperson Terry Hardcastle. “How are we supposed to live?”

Cathy Smith agreed. “You don’t make that much money to begin with,” said Smith with tears in her eyes. “…the prescriptions are going to kill me.”

Under Obamacare, the workers’ employer faced a 50% increase in costs to keep worker plans at the same benefit and deductible levels. To remain economically viable, the dealership decided to give each worker an extra $2,400 and let them find plans on their own. Small business insurance broker Michael Harp says it’s all part of the new Obamacare reality for small businesses and their workers: “The overwhelming majority, they’re paying much higher rates and they have lower benefits.”

Service adviser Steve Williams said Obamacare has destroyed the era of affordable health care.

“The days of low deductibles and all that stuff are gone,” Williams told NBC. “It’s not going to get any better. It’s just going to get worse.” …..

According to the latest CNN poll, Obamacare is at a record low 35% approval rating.

This is going on all over the nation.  Indeed, our own Hank has told pretty much the same story about his business and workers.  It’s beyond pathetic that the Dems and this administration refuse to do the things necessary to protect the American citizens from this disastrous endeavor.  They seem unwilling and incapable of simply saying it was a nice idea but, has utterly failed in achieving anything other than the financial ruin of many.  Their stubborn refusal to accept reality will come at a cost.

It can’t be that bad. Dodge just must hire a lot of racists. They’ve probably even adopted alternate skin-color babies.

A 50% increase tells me they’re not taking into account all of the hidden back-end costs of keeping the employees in group insurance, he has a lower employee risk profile, or is just in a state where insurance is more affordable. It’s costing me a 67% increase. And I’m getting a lot less for more – fewer choice of doctors, many prescriptions are no longer covered, limitations on medical procedures, and the list goes on. In 2014, there will be another huge cost hike for small businesses. A 67% jack up is just the tip of the Zerocare iceberg us small businesses have struck.

And because it happens that my published research is in medicine, I get to see another important facet of the picture too. I personally know several doctors who are closing their practice and either leaving the field of medicine or taking positions in medical universities to train up the new “breed” of practicing nurses (the new Obamacare doctors).

The short of the above is Obama is killing small businesses and he’s destroying our healthcare system.

The sad part is that before, they had health care. Now, they get a raise that is taxed (probably about 40% or more), and no health care. Yet the company is not ahead either.
