The lunatic left tried, and is trying to define what a “journalist” is. They’re doing this in order to limit the flow of information. They wish to be the gate keepers. They’ve attacked in various media outlets, and have attacked in our legal system. Right now, there is a bill before congress which attempts to define journalism so as to limit our First Amendment protections to only “journalists” as defined by the statists.
I was well aware of these efforts prior to this exchange, but, this drove it home. Watch
This was one of the few times I was actually watching TV when this aired. Juan declares himself as a “real reporter”, unlike Michelle, who only serves to inform us. If I want to know what Juan Williams is going to say, I’ll ask Jay Carney.
Andrew Breitbart? There’s nothing I can say other than here is just one small part of his legacy ….. http://www.breitbart.com/
Contrast and compare Breitbart and Michelle Malkin to this “real” journalist.
‘Real reporter’ Christiane Amanpour falls for fake Twitter account
Georgia has 14 congressional districts, and none of them are represented by someone named Steve Smith.
Christiane Amanpour ✔ @camanpour
Seriously? RT @RepStevenSmith: @camanpour @cnni Maybe if we kept a better eye on them in 1939, WWII wouldn’t have happened.
I don’t know how history will reflect on those two, Michelle and Andrew. I know how I will. They were and Malkin is, both pioneers and giants in journalism, and modern media. We’re more informed, today, because of both of them. Our society is a better place because of them. And, God willing, long after both are gone from our immediate memories.
Journalism is an act, not some club you hope to be allowed into. If my talent for journalism, which I don’t always engage in, was as low as what most professed “journalists” today, I’d never blog again. Their partiality shames my advocate blog, their intellectual vacancy shames humanity.
A childish insult goes “If I want any of your lip, I will scrape it off my ……”
Most of the MSM reminds me of that childish joke.
“Christiane Amanpour @camanpour
Seriously? RT @RepStevenSmith: @camanpour @cnni Maybe if we kept a better eye on them in 1939, WWII wouldn’t have happened.”
Leaving aside the childish Nazi comparison, Amanpour is also a complete idiot – Hitler wanted to negotiate with Poland, but as Poland rejected his documents he used London as intermediary. The Brits did everything in their might to torpedo negotiations because THEY wanted the war. The Brits knew at any moment what Hitler wanted – he wanted Danzig and a transit connection to East Prussia under German control through the area that Poland had won during WW I. It was known to the League Of Nations that Poland mistreated its minorities (the German and Ukrainian minorities mostly); so Hitler’s suggestion was reasonable.
Hitler, Churchill and FDR all knew that Germany did not have the resources to win a prolongued major war. That’s why the Brits wanted one.
…and in return Hitler offered recognition of some small illegal occupations of German territory Poland gained during the Weimar republic time, in violation of the Versailles treaty; and offered a 25 year friendship treaty with Poland.
I think your source is a bit biased. London did not want the war. Germany did not want to start it then (as is evidenced by the phony war over the next year). But Germany was gearing up for war from the start. It was only the timing that they did not get.
“Germany is too strong. We must destroy her.”
– Winston Churchill, Nov. 1936.
My source is an Ex Bundeswehr general who looked into the archives of the Foreign Affairs departments of Germany, France, the UK , Poland etc. and compared them.
As for Germany “gearing up for war” , all surrounding nations violated the Versailles treaty by ignoring the armament limits defined in the treaty; only the Weimar republic adhered to them.
When Hitler came to power Germany was outnumbered, outgunned and surrounded by nations who all had a population explosion (just like Germany had one), all eager to occupy a little bit of territory from any neighbour where they could.
So he geared up to a level that one could call justified. It wasn’t our fault that our machines work better than French or Polish war machines. The numbers of divisions were still on their side.
The trouble with Germany is is that we have 9 neighbours; so if we want to prepare ourselves against a possible attack we must inevitable get to a level where we can fend them all off when they unite against us. But that level of armament is so high that it can overwhelm any one of them. Same dilemma as in the Risk boardgame.
For completeness, here’s my source, it’s a 1:30 lecture in German.
I will see if I can muddle through with my German. 😉
But notice I said “biased”, I did not say wrong.
Michelle Malkin does some serious investigative reporting. You never see such from WaPo or NYT parrot cage liner writers. I have her blog bookmarked, plus Human Events where she also posts.
Stuff that real journalists don’t like because it is the truth and makes Obama look bad.
She brings stuff to the table that most of us don’t even see coming.

This [ above ] is interesting………. The Left wants to define “journalists” and be the “gate keepers” ……. and the governments they are aligning themselves with…want to censor them.
Reblogged this on Climate Ponderings.
The only time I see, or hear, Mr. Juan Williams, is when he speaks stooped.
