Whom Shall I Fear? June 28

Scripture Selection: Psalm 27:1-3; Proverbs 28:1; Romans 8:37-39

Food for Thought: Ps. 27:1

The Word says there is no fear in the perfect (complete, fulfilled) love of God, for fear torments (I John 4:18). When God’s love is fully comprehended and completely accepted, we understand that there is nothing that the enemy can throw at us that could keep us from His love. Whatever the problem or attack might be, God’s love is greater, and it moves in and takes action when we apply faith.

Though the Bible never promises a life without problems, it does promise God’s love and the victory through it. So how could we fear? Any fear is the lack of comprehension of the greatness of His love. And that is torment, true torment that leads to sleepless nights, ulcers, migraines, high blood pressure, and so on. The only true way to describe that is torment.

Remember, love is not an emotion. Love is God and His manifested character. So Love doesn’t just sit there when you need Him, and He never separates Himself from you. He is right there with you! Bask in it today and fear not.
