Every-day Blessings for Every-day People May 27

Scripture Selection: Psalm 145:14-16; Prov. 27:25-27; Matthew 5:45

Food for Thought: Ps. 145:16

God, You’re so good! You love us beyond measure, and You pour out Your abundant blessings on mankind, regardless of the condition of our hearts. Even those who reject You receive from You. (As a matter of fact, You even died for those You knew would refuse Your gift.) That’s how much You love everyone unconditionally.

If that were not so, there would be no sun to give warmth and cause the plants to grow for even all those who do not put their trust in You. It would never rain to give drink to those plants and fill the rivers, streams and lakes to provide life-giving water to all of us, either. So often, people take for granted such things as sunlight, water, and oxygen. But You lovingly give them anyway.

Lord, You overwhelm us all with Your loving kindness and blessings. You are the Giver and Sustainer of life for all of us. And all because You love us. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for everything.
