More Age Of Stupid New York Style — Charlie Rangel

That’s all that’s necessary to be said.  I mean Rangel has said and done so many outrageous and stupid things throughout his career, I don’t really bother with him.  I mean pointing out Rangel’s idiocy is like equating stupidity with morons.  The meaning is essentially the same.  But, because it’s a slow day, I’ll just give you his latest quote…..

We’re talking about millions of kids dying — being shot down by assault weapons…. Charles Rangel

Wasn’t he the one that said 70 million slaves were tossed overboard during the slave trade on the trip from Africa?

70 million when the entire population of the world was only about 600 million. Yea, I can believe that.

You have a green job when you kill less than one bottlenose dolphin a week.

Actually, they say a floor sweeper qualifies…..

“Does someone who sweeps the floor at a company that makes solar panels — is that a green job?” Issa asked.

“Yes,” replied Galvin, who also acknowledged that a bike-repair shop clerk, a hybrid-bus driver, any school bus driver, used record store employees and “the guy who puts gas in a school bus” were all defined as green jobs.

Galvin even said that a lobbyist working on environmental issues would be classified as having a green job.

        Making Gobberment look good.

I don’t think we will see any plane crashes from shuttering some smaller ATC towers. The FARs cover what pilots must do (and sensibly enough, they are exactly what reasonably aware and awake pilots would do even if there were no FARs covering the situation).

Which is something I say about all Federal Regulations. If reasonably aware and awake people behave in the manner ‘prescribed and proscribed’ by the regs, then you don’t need them.

If a government social service is really popular, then people would buy it with their own money. If people would buy it with their own money, then divorce it from government.
