Rockin At You From My New Digs!!!

I don’t have much to say at the moment other then while I still have a ton of work to do, I’m moved to my new place.  I’ll get back to more consistent posting and participation in the discussions in the very near future.  Thanks to all for your patience!

So, I was just listening to an oldie I thought was cool.  Maybe this post can be some vids or music of what some like here.

Thanks guys! I was a bit over ambitious with my plans of things to do before we moved. I ran out of time.

But, we did get the floors done. Old school solid red oak floors. We sanded them down to the wood, stained them a dark walnut and polyed them. Wife painted the walls white in some places, a very light, nearly white silver in others……. the floors pop!!!

Moved right after the storm. Wasn’t anything I could do but track mud in. đŸ˜¦

Have to thank my son-in-law for helping. He carried the day and a worn out old man. A cousin and a good friend helped in the end, as well. We moved through the snow, ice, and cold wind. And my mom! If anyone could ever give classes in moving and play show and tell about the classes, it would be her. In many ways, she’s younger than I am. She helped my wife pack and then just broke into the house I’m leaving and started cleaning ….. for no other reason than she knew it needed done and no one was there to do it at the time. ….. and love.

Took out a crappy archway, and walled it up, and opened an new way for a normal hallway, walled in some silly wiring to the breaker box, replaced and expanded a doorway, and the same with a window. Sealed the laundry room. It was porous.

For the most part, it was me, my wife, and son-in-law. Had extra help moving. You wouldn’t think that would take 2 weeks, but it did. Two winter storms, people needing to work (weird, I know), school schedules, and living 20 miles away seems to have been the culprits.

So now, I’m letting the music videos take me through music, and I’m sipping on Irish creme and coffee…. mother’s milk! Taking stock of what’s been done, and what needs to be done and just chillin for a bit.

Congrats, brother! It was really smart of you to bring in the expert: Mom! Yeah, she’s younger in many ways than the both of us. I’ll be by for a visit…some day.

Hopefully, someday, I’ll be done with all little things which need done by the time you drop by!
