Keep the Word, and It Will Keep You! February 6

Scripture Selection: Psalm 37:31; Proverbs 6:20-23; Revelations 3:10

Food for Thought: Rev. 3:10

I wonder how many problems have been prevented just by being in His Word, and His Word being in us. How many tragedies have been averted without us even being aware? How many decisions have we made based on the Word that have been to our advantage? We just “keep on keeping on” with our lives, living it out in faith (“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God,” Romans 10:17), and we come out as more than conquerors.

That’s not to say that we never find ourselves in a crisis. But even in those tough times, God’s Word sustains us and pulls us through, stronger than ever. His Word gives us what we need for every situation.

When we recently suffered the unexpected loss of Tony Morales, our dear brother and co-laborer in Christ, the pain seemed almost unbearable. But we sought refuge and healing in God’s Word, and found that it provided everything we needed to sustain us. Praise God for His Word that, if kept, keeps us!
