Finally! A Conservative Tells Christie To STFU!!!

2016 Preview: Rand Paul Rips Christie for NRA Bluster

The battle between Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) and Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) for the 2016 Republican nomination is already underway – but for now, it’s a proxy battle about the National Rifle Association. After Christie ripped the NRA for an ad targeting President Obama over his hypocritical support for armed security for his daughters and opposition to armed security in other schools, Paul shot back: “I think criticizing the Second Amendment movement and the other over-the-top ‘give me my money’ stuff, ‘I want all $60 billion now or I’ll throw a tantrum,’ I don’t think that’s going to play well in the Republican primary.”

Paul added, “You have some Republicans backing down like Christie backing down and criticizing the NRA, and I think that doesn’t do any good … I think he may be solidifying his support with Democrats in New Jersey and maybe liberal Republicans.”

Paul will undoubtedly have a strong base of support from which to draw in 2016; Christie is aiming for the same left side of the party that supported John McCain in 2008. Paul is certainly setting himself up as a Tea Party favorite – and by opposing Christie now, he helps cut him off when Christie makes his inevitable move to the right in preparation for 2016.

Christie is simply unacceptable for conservatives.  If Repubs want to destroy the Repub party, then they should try to run that beached whale.

I think, some need to wakeup.

Does Mr Christie think people voted for his Republican butt because the Republican Party has so much to offer?

They voted Republican [ at least, the voters I know of ] – AGAINST Mr Obama and crew.

Though Mr Obama won a second term by rallying many ill informed voters, and though Mr Obama tries to say he was given a “mandate”., he was not.

The true “mandate” was given to all Republicans who received a vote, not because their plan was much different than Democrats but because we need / wanted “CHECKS AND BALANCES” against this administrations corruption – back room dealings – non-transparency..

Republicans cannot expect voters – If they don’t grow some spine. …. Their ONLY sales tool is a “CHECK AND BALANCE”… To this run away Administration.

Rand Paul is liked even by some Democrats. If he’s nominated I wonder who he’d pick as VP? Rubio has associations with people busted for corruption. He’d be dicey. But that’s still 3 years away. It could be 3 economically ugly years to boot.

Thank-you Rand Paul. I’m tired of Gov. Christie’s antics.

Rand Paul wins over Christie. It isn’t just the Christie remarks over guns and the NRA. It is his attack on congressional Repubs over a bill loaded with pork. It is his betrayal of Romney in the aftermath of the Sandy storm. Look at the picture. I’m not forgetting that. I’ll help make sure no one else forgets it either.

His speech at the RNC was a precursor to his subsequent actions. He may be a candidate in 2016, but, in no manner can he be a winner.

2016 will be a defining year for the Republicans. Swept into oblivion or a phoenix rising from the ashes. If they do nominate Christie (very similar to another governors name – Crist – in more ways than just name), they will be relegated to irrelevant status. The only joy that I will get from the election is watching Christie’s “friends” destroy him.
