This, of course, confuses leftists, and they mistake it for real news and commentary. So, Stewart is poking fun at the Reps for wanting to run a clean election without all of the personal attacks and lies about their policy proposals, because they get a bit irked when team Obama roles out one bit of idiocy after then next. By the way looks like John Boehner is going into overdrive trying to calm the troops. Seems they’re very nervous now about their own congressional seats, having voted for the Ryan plan to gut medicare!?!

Ph, this is why Ryan wants to have the conversation about medicare. I think we should, as well. I’ve posted about this a few times. It’s laughable. Obama cut $700 billion from “fraud, waste and abuse” of the system…. but didn’t cut the benefits.
But, he hasn’t identified the “fraud, waste and abuse”. Still the cuts will happen. Yes, we, as a nation should talk about this.
This is Obama’s underbelly. This is nothing but pure fantasy. But, then when someone really thinks about it, we realize Obama had a plan to cut “fraud, waste and abuse”, which he’s obligated to do, but felt compelled to pass a law before he acted upon the “fraud, waste and abuse”.
Were I Romney and Ryan, I’d bring up Medicare every day. Obama wouldn’t eliminate $700 billion dollars of “fraud, waste and abuse” until Obamacare was enacted. Else, apparently, he was perfectly content with allowing the “fraud, waste and abuse” to go on.
The executive branch…. what is their job, again?
Actually Obama’s cuts are pretty specific towards hospitals, other providers, long term care facilities. Many of these cuts were agreed to by these providers, in exchange for getting a lot of the uninsured – insured – so that these providers won’t continue to lose money when the uninsured show up on their door step.
Paul Ryan wants nothing more than to turn medicare over to the private insurance vultures and wash his hands of it – see his 2011 budget. This is why he has been and is going to continue to lose that battle in the public eye!
BTW Suyts is that as “laughable” as Mitt Romney’s plan to cut taxes and be deficit neutral, while not including any specifics on what deductions he would cut to keep his plan “deficit neutral”!?!?!?

I don’t think being President for the next four years is an enviable job. The undertaking of putting the bakes on to stop the madness in government and reversing the trend is going to exact a toll. It’s going to be a bigger job than the mind can grasp. It’s like the story of William Tecumseh Sherman as the Civil War was starting. Most people thought the Civil War would end quickly, within just a couple of weeks. They thought the North just had to show the South they meant business and the South would get the message and submit to them. There were people that even had picnics in the hills above where they heard battles were going to be expecting it would be entertaining afternoon, like a night at the theatre. But Sherman went around for weeks in mental heaviness. Almost everyone thought he was going crazy. He felt it was going to be a horrible, long war. He said “This war will be with many tears for many years”. No one believed him. The weight of the sorrow he felt made him contemplate suicide. His wife thought he was going insane, “that melancholy insanity to which your family is subject”. The truth was he was one of the very few that could see what was coming. When the war continued far longer than most thought it would, and horrors were happening far, far worse than they thought could happen they changed their opinion of Sherman. BTW, some of those picnic goers ended up running in terror as they saw what the war really was, arms shot off, head torn open from bullets, swords through bodies, and as retreating soldiers ran over their picnics—opps, not a nice night at the theatre. After people changed their view of Sherman he was quickly promoted and became one of Lincoln’s two top generals, along with Ulysses S. Grant. I said all that as an example of what America will be facing in the next few years. It’s going to be far, far harder to stop all the madness that is right now in America. It’s a better prospect to be President like 10 years from now after the worst of things are over.
