How I Know The Enviro-Alarmists Are Lying

This is my final post of a mini-series of posts.  I called it “How I Know“.

We will have covered 6 topics (really 5).  The first and the second probably should have been combined.  It demonstrates their hatred for America.  Mostly for what it stands for, but the principles are seen throughout the world.  The Liberty to be the captain of one’s own ship.  The Freedom of capitalism.  The indomitable will of the individual.  The use of capitalism and the industry of the individual towards the aforementioned goals.  Liberty, Freedom, Individualism, Capitalism: They hate these ideas.  And they despise the successful practice of them.  We also see that they wish global dominance and a totalitarian one government end.  It has also been demonstrated that their arguments are faith based and science has little to do with the discussion.  They have set upon their own and novel religion.  And, we can now clearly see their hatred for humanity.  Their desire for disease, despair, infirmary and impoverishment upon humanity is heart crushing.  How people can engage in such malevolent regard of their fellow man, attacks reason and fosters despair.

Lastly, in this post, we see that what they spew, what they ooze and foul secretions they emit are nothing but a pack of lies.  All peoples of all nations should reject and oppugn these people and their Marxist Malthusian misanthropy.  Ladies and gentlemen, these are not my words, they are not the words of some climate contrarian or industrial oil agent.  These are their own words;  full of vent and vile hatred for all things human.  Their duplicitous and hypocritical existence threatens peace, prosperity, and justice for all mankind.  Again, these are their words, not mine.

How do I know they are lying?  They told me they would lie.

They Told Us They Were Lying

“We need to get some broad based support, to capture the public’s imagination… So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements and make little mention of any doubts… Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest.”- Stephen Schneider, Stanford Professor of Climatology, lead author of many IPCC reports

Unless we announce disasters no one will listen.”
– Sir John Houghton, first chairman of IPCC

“We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis.“– David Rockefeller, Club of Rome executive manager

“A global climate treaty must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the greenhouse effect.”—Richard Benedik, former U.S./UN bureaucrat

“We’ve got to ride the global-warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic policy and environmental policy.”—–Timothy Wirth, U.S./UN functionary, former elected Democrat Senator

No matter if the science is all phony, there are collateral environmental benefits…. climate change [provides] the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world.”—–Christine Stewart, former Canadian Environment Minister

“It is no secret that a lot of climate-change research is subject to opinion, that climate models sometimes disagree even on the signs of the future changes (e.g. drier vs. wetter future climate). The problem is, only sensational exaggeration makes the kind of story that will get politicians’ — and readers’ — attention. So, yes, climate scientists might exaggerate, but in today’s world, this is the only way to assure any political action and thus more federal financing to reduce the scientific uncertainty.”—–Monika Kopacz, atmospheric scientist

“I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis.”—-Al Gore, former U.S. vice president

“It’s unlikely that the U.S. is going to take serious action on climate change until there are observable, dramatic events, almost catastrophic in nature, that drive public opinion and drive the political process in that direction.” —-Robert Stavins, the head of Harvard’s Environmental Economics program

“The objective, clearly enunciated by the leaders of UNCED, is to bring about a change in the present system of independent nations. The future is to be World Government with central planning by the United Nations. Fear of environmental crises – whether real or not – is expected to lead to – compliance”—-Dixy Lee Ray, former liberal Democrat governor of State of Washington

It doesn’t matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true.”—Paul Watson, a founder of Greenpeace

“We routinely wrote scare stories…Our press reports were more or less true…We were out to whip the public into a frenzy about the environment.” —-Jim Sibbison, environmental journalist, former public relations official for the Environmental Protection Agency

“The only way to get our society to truly change is to frighten people with the possibility of a catastrophe.” –Daniel Botkin

The data don’t matter. We’re not basing our recommendations [for reductions in carbon dioxide emissions] upon the data. We’re basing them upon the climate models.”—–Chris Folland of UK Meteorological Office

“Rather than seeing models as describing literal truth, we ought to see them as convenient fictions which try to provide something useful.”—-David Frame, climate modeler, Oxford University

“Not only do journalists not have a responsibility to report what skeptical scientists have to say about global warming. They have a responsibility not to report what these scientists say.”—–Ross Gelbsan, former journalist

“I would freely admit that on [global warming] we have crossed the boundary from news reporting to advocacy.”——Charles Alexander, Time Magazine science editor

Global warming can mean colder, it can mean drier, it can mean wetter.”——Steven Guilbeault, Canadian environemental journalist and Greenpeace member

Luckily for us, the skeptics are winning! And the warmists? All they have left is Godwin’s Law.

    • suyts says:

True, but we’ve still a ways to go. What concerns me is that once we win this climate conversation, we know they’ll have some other BS thing they’ll come up with. And this is why I did this little series. So everyone can be clear about what they are up against. We’re not arguing science. They never advocated any real science. We’re up against the most vile form of ideology mankind has ever come across.

      • miked1947 says:

It seems recently you have been more focused on displaying the actions of the Chicken Little Brigade than trying to fight the Non existent science. This is where the true fight has always been. They are just trying to divert the people’s attention by promoting fear of some mysterious thing to justify their actions.

  2. ThePhDScientist says:

This is an interesting read: Skeptic finds he now agrees global warming is real…

    • suyts says:

Yes, it was interesting. Dr. Muller never was part of the skeptical community, though in the past he had some skeptical things to say about specific parts of the science. Dr. Muller was in essence, the walking, talking strawman argument the alarmists built up as a skeptic and then converted to an alarmist. This was all chronicled at WUWT.

      • ThePhDScientist says:

I have to say as the conspiracies keep piling up, I get more skeptical of the skeptics…

      • suyts says:

        Conspiracies? What conspiracies?

        • ThePhDScientist says:

Dr Muller was never a true skeptic. That’s quite funny considering his work was being bankrolled by the Koch Brothers! No he was merely built up so the “alarmists” would have a straw man. Come on, you can do better!

        • suyts says:

Sigh, did you grow up believing everything you read in the press?

First of all, the Koch brothers don’t give two shakes about this stuff. They’re going to make their money one way or the other. Secondly, go to Berkeley’s site and check out the real funding for the study. Most of it came from Uncle Sam.

        • ThePhDScientist says:

Sigh and Philip-Morris is uninterested in the studies they fund hoping to deny the lung cancer smoking risk.

    • Bruce of Newcastle says:

Oh good grief. Richard Muller is at best sitting on the fence. You will note his apparent business interests. I think he probably is a CAGW person and pretty much always has been, but then I can’t see into his brain. His views would be unimportant and irrelevant if the song and dance about being a reformed sceptic wasn’t so heavily hyped. And anyway BEST is reasonably consistent with the other datasets even though it is a land only set, although with the probability that UHIE is underestimated.

You can explain BEST, HadCRUT and the satellite data quite well using the low sensitivity hypothesis, including the hiatus in temperatures over the last 15 years. Which you can’t do using the IPCC high sensitivity hypothesis. And yes, my friend I too am a PhD scientist, with 30 years in R&D, including statistical and iterative modelling, thermodynamics and all that. But then I am not a government paid scientist with a consultancy selling “GreenGov(TM)” to governments.

    • DirkH says:

Please consider that Dr. Muller fronts his own company, Muller & Associates, a geo-engineering consultancy, and he is also a front for the NOVIM group, again, wannabe geo-engineers.
      http://jer-skepticscorner.blogspot.com/2011/04/best-novim-and-other-solution.html
      This is Muller’s own company::
      http://www.mullerandassociates.com/index.php

You might reconsider your assessment of Muller’s integrity in the light of these facts. And it is not a conspiracy. Muller offers his services openly.

  3. larrygeiger says:

What, no Hansen, Schmidt, Jones or Mann quotes. They’ve got to be there somewhere 🙂

    • suyts says:

Lol, their lies were of a different nature. They didn’t tell you they were going to lie to you, they simply did. But, Timothy Wirth has a quote here, he was Hansen’s co-conspirator in turning off the A/C in congress when Hansen was giving testimony about Global Warming.

  4. DirkH says:

James, a very nice collection of quotes – and a very appropriate headline.
