In Case You Missed It…….. Romney Has Been Selected

The heavy hitters for the GOP has lined up behind Mitt Romney.  George Bush 41, the senior, has endorsed Romney, but the biggest two endorsements are Marc Rubio and Paul Ryan.  These are huge endorsements.  Especially with Wisconsin’s primary just days away.  This marks the end of the campaigns.  The rest is mere formalities.  The reason for these recent occurrences and the timing was probably best expressed by Ryan…..

“We vote on Tuesday here in Wisconsin,” said Ryan, R-Wisc. “Lots of my friends, family, supporters are asking me who should we vote for? I have two criteria I’m using to make my decision on Tuesday: who will make best president and who has best chance of beating Barack Obama? And in my opinion, Mitt Romney is clearly that person.”

Ryan stature in Congress, particularly among fiscal conservatives in the Republican Party, continues to increase, especially since the House approved his budget Thursday.

He said his decision to endorse Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, was made in part to end the long, expensive primary battle.

I am just convinced now that if we drag this thing on until the summer, it’s going to make it that much harder to beat Barack Obama this fall,” said Ryan, in endorsing Romney as many expected.

….I only agree with this for one reason

Hillary, Biden, and Obama ran one of the most vicious campaigns I’ve seen….
so the only reason it’s been divisive is because of the liberal media

I’ve obviously missed a lot by not watching the news….didn’t know the house approved Ryan’s budget

…and what is going on with the Supremes and Obambicare?

We won’t know how it came out until this summer. My prediction is that the individual mandate will be overturned, but much of the other crap will be left in place. And, it will cause more harm than good if congress doesn’t revisit it. But, I think if my prediction is correct, then congress will have to re-visit.

        ..from what little I understand
If the individual mandate is overturned….then that blows the whole thing…..or does it?

I though the only way it worked was to get everyone paying….that way kids that don’t need it pay for everyone else

Right, it would then be unsustainable, but all of those impeding rules with our health insurance companies would remain in effect. …. like the pre-existing condition clause….. etc.

          that I’m for……

Drives me crazy when they try to compare this to car insurance…
…I can buy car insurance from any company anywhere

Since they are dictating what insurance companies can do….on a nation wide basis…then open it up and let them compete

        • suyts says:

No doubt. Easy simple steps could have been taken without these draconian measures. But, we know leftists are totalitarians, so we shouldn’t expect them to take the easy less intrusive route.

        • Latitude says:

          What I really don’t get at all….
Medicare, Medicaid, and Medigap were all designed, adjusted, created to fix this very problem…..
why did we need a totally new program…when we can’t fix the ones in place
