Pay No Mind March 19

Scripture Selection: Psalm 79:4; Proverbs 19:1, 29; Jude 1: 17-21

Food for Thought: Jude vs. 20

There will always be the naysayers, the scoffers, and the mockers in the world. And yes, it hurts if we focus on them and keep trying to win their approval. Don’t bother. And don’t give what they say a second thought. In reality, they are on the losing side and are in grave danger if they don’t give their lives to Christ.

In one particular work situation, I was the only believer among many lost co-workers. Many of them were verbally quite hostile toward Christians in general, making it a most difficult and uncomfortable period of time for me. But God had me remain there to be light and learn some really tough lessons.

Instead of becoming distraught in such situations, the Word tells us to build up ourselves in faith, pray in the Holy Spirit, keep ourselves in the love of God, and look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life. Focusing on the Word of God instead of the words of mockers will keep you during the tough times and bring you out victorious. It might even bring some of them to Christ.

    Very good.Thank you.
I was in that situation for some years.
A lot of good things happened.
    Even after I retired,good things
went on happening. I take no credit.

I’m so glad you can testify of the good that comes out of such situations as it most certainly is encouraging to others who are facing the same things. God didn’t call us to be “comfortable,” but to be light, and He would take care of the rest.
