Eating Golden Apples February 25
Scripture Selection: Psalm 56:4; Proverbs 25:11; John 17:8, 17
Food for Thought: Ps. 56:4
Where would we be without the Word of God? It’s His perfect Word spoken to us at just the right time for just the right occasion—every time. Solomon was right when he compared a word fitly spoken like “golden apples in settings of silver.” Beautiful. Enticing. Satisfying.
There is no more fitly spoken word than God’s Word. It is treasured and adored, for it is His Word that nourishes our souls and sanctifies us. It sets us apart. It is what distinguishes us from the powerless and directionless lost. And the more we consume His Word, the more we grow and the more we hear from God at just the right time for every situation.
Those golden apples are the priceless gift, a word fitly spoken and provided for us to live on as we continue this journey called life. Why not munch on some now?
