This Too Shall Pass February 23
Scripture Selection: Psalm 54:7; Proverbs 23:18; Hebrews 10:36
Food for Thought: Heb. 10:36
Once again, God is encouraging us that any difficult challenge or problem that we may be facing is not a permanent situation. As I have faced things in the past, it has been a great consolation to me to realize that. According to God’s Word, I could tell myself, “This, too, shall pass.”
Walking through a long, dark tunnel as a traveling college student in Mexico (see Feb. 4), I learned two important lessons: One, stay in the light, and everything will be fine. Two, every tunnel, no matter how long or dark, has a way out on the other side. The key is to keep pressing on and not quit in the middle of the tunnel.
Life’s problems are like that. Just as we go through a tunnel, we go through a problem. There is a way out, a solution, an end. It is comforting to me to know that this, too, shall pass if we just follow the Light in faith and not lose hope.
