McCarthy was crying about the gun lobby and blaming them for his ineptitude and the Chicago populace’s disregard for the sanctity of life. Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation. They don’t have a gun problem, they have a people problem. They’re a bunch of scumbags and it starts at the top. The people they chose to represent them is telling.
Another interesting quote, given the revelations of the case……
“When people say concealed carry, I say Trayvon Martin,” McCarthy said, referring to the Florida teen who was shot and killed last February by a neighborhood watch volunteer ….
Huh? I thought is was determined that Martin attacked Zimmerman, and that Zimmerman was being beaten and feared for his life. Does the Chief advocate people getting beat to death over being shot to death? Idiot.

That’s the leftist mentality for you. That Martin attacked Zimmerman necessitating that Zimmerman defend himself is immaterial. Had Zimmerman not had a gun and been killed by Martin, there would have been no story – nothing for Chief McCarthy to spew stupid nonsense about.
It must be better to be beat to death than killing the one doing the beating…. or something.

It should be a Felony to attempt to pass a law that is in violation of the Constitution! Every state should have that law on the books, and the federal government should have that law also!
And significant jail time should be required! They violate their oath of office when this happens.!
