Fisker is looking to raise between $200 million and $300 million, and sources said it could wind up forming a strategic pact with two or more partners.
“The company has received detailed proposals from multiple parties in different continents which are now being evaluated by the company and its advisers,” Fisker spokesman Roger Ormisher said in an email. He declined to comment further.
The US Dept of Energy has expressed desire that the imaginary auto production remain in Delaware.
“A strategic pact would give Fisker the funds to build its second model, the Atlantic plug-in hybrid.”

Outgassing Li-ion batteries produce gases with up to 500 deg C; gas may contain CO, may be acidic (depending on the battery chemistry).
Fire is not the biggest problem.
I would rather have a battery spewing acid than one spewing alkaline material. An acid burn is easier to deal with and does not penetrate as deeply through the skin. Alkali burns are horrid and very scarring.
That would probably be a good call!

Unfortunately for Fisker the Chinese are just too aware of the problems.
But the new Ukrainian/Latvian/exSoviet empire millionaires are easier to er, con…convince of how good the Fisker future will be. So maybe they should try there first.
