They are trying to make our children and grandchildren stupid! Protect the babies from this insipidly vile attack on our children! Understand that the texts used by the traditional schools already teach crap math! There’s no escape from this dumbing down of America unless we fight this!
Out for pool.
Is the link for real, it seems so bad that it must be made up.
I wish it was made up.
It is true. I can’t tell you how many times I had to write notes to my children’s teachers advising them that answers to homework and quizzes that were marked wrong were correct.
I made the same experience with my teachers in the early 80ies – I read books so occasionally I had information that didn’t come from the teachers. This information was invariably marked as wrong in tests, so I took great care to “echo” my teachers better and avoid confronting them with information they could not possibly know (I got a wrong for starting a fairy tale in English lessons with “once upon a time”. My (German) English teacher would only accept “A time there was”. Well, he can’t know everything.).
Bookkeeping what information is good for what in my head. A valuable lesson.
‘Smarter’ young Americans learn this lesson early in life, as well. Back in my day, though, you could go to the Principal or Dean and plead your case if you had solid research behind it, and win it. My best teachers were people who were willing to learn from anyone.
Michelle Malkin is very much for real.
Twitchy is one of her sites.
Start ‘em early and soak ‘em so full of propaganda they’re yours for life (with foodstamps).
Michelle Malkin should run for President. She’s not from Kenya.
Bloody hell !
You Americans are in deep trouble if this is typical of your new textbooks. And if you are in trouble today, the rest of us are in trouble tomorrow.
In 1994, Clinton signed the Goals 2000 Act. It was intended to improve statistics in education outcomes. It was left to academia (read teacher unions) to decide how best to achieve the goals. The solution decided upon was to lower academic requirements and level the playing field for educationally challenged students so that more students met the goals. It was a huge success, statistically speaking. Now you’re seeing the results.
I remember that. Now add ‘No Child Left Behind’ to it.
We sing a song writen by Val Johnson “Where are the Children”
