Mitch McConnell, one of the few politicians I feel sorry for in this debacle has been forced to reach out to Joe Biden in an attempt to keep the US from going over the fiscal cliff. Harry Reid, Senate majority leader has refused to respond to the last several Republican proposals. Barry Zero is MIA. So, in a last desperate act, McConnell turns to Biden.
Apparently, this is fine with Zero. Cogent people may recall one of Biden’s assignments was to oversee and monitoring of the stimulus funds.

It’s threatened them with financial extortion if he doesn’t get his way to satisfy the populist wing of the Democratic Party.”
No, that’s not what is going on. Obama has not offered to compromise because he wants the Repubs to walk away so he can raise taxes, not just on the rich, but also on the middle class and blame the Repubs. He’s not extorting the middle class, he’s attacking the middle class. McConnell isn’t walking away. Good on him for not playing the stupid circus game.
